what is your favorite scene in saving private ryan?

after relesing the german soldier,one of the member of his crew will try to quit and he will make that member join his crew to continue the hunt for saving the private ryan of Iowa and the next scene is the climax...

My favourite scene is probably the near-opening one, with the beach landings. Just the whole Beach landing scene from when they're approaching in the boats up to when the guy collects the dirt in a tin. I remember when I first saw this movie how horrified I was at the landings, and it will always stick with me. It was the first time I'd ever seen a movie that showed war so realistically.

The opening too but when they opened up the landing boats and these brave troops just get gunned down in seconds. Real as what! I couldn't even imagine being in a situation like that.

The scene towards the end when Tom Hanks tells Matt Damon to "earn" his life, and then when it cuts to the older Ryan and he asks his wife if he lived a good life. Powerful stuff. Gets me everytime. I love that movie.

I would have to say that my favorite scene is when they made the sticky bombs out of tar and theyre socks. it was so easily done and effective
