Renting a home

hey, so me and my fiance are seriously looking into renting a house. we have found a few we like at the moment. we are planning on renting a 2 bedroom house for 6-12 months, then getting a mortgage together for our family home. we're wanting to get settled into living together and getting jobs in the area before we focus on getting a mortgage. we are trying to work out bits and bobs we will be needing for the house. we are wanting to rent a furnished house, so we dont have to pay for the furniture until we get a mortgage. but we are on about getting bits for the mortgaged house every so often, so by the time we move into the mortgaged house we will have pretty much everything. just to save on the stresses of moving. so we think that the basics we would need are kitchen bits and bobs, like a kettle etc. and decorating bits we want like photos etc. is there anything else we would need that anyone can think of? we didnt want to move and then realise we have missed something that is pretty vital.
