can you live without your cellular phone?

my phone last year - This was my phone but i lost it when my friend borrow it to me.It was lost when we ride in the bus and we're so silly over there that's why we lost it.And i learned something about it.Not to be silly all the time.Laugh but not too much because life is equal when your happy then sadness will take over. :D But i got new phone when my mother bought a new phone i was very happy. :D

Lol, not at all. I don't even own a cell phone. I'm 16 years old and I'm constantly surrounded by kids in school who are always texting and chatting on their phones. Sometimes I think, yeah, that might be handy in case of an emergency, but I've lived without one for 16 years, I don't really need one now. When I'm older, I'll probably get one, but I won't be one of those obsessed talkers with it constantly glued to my ear.

I just don't get the buzz about cell phones. When I worked, being on the phone was a big part of my day. When I went home at nite I would let the answering machine pick up. Oh sure, a cell phone is good for emergencies (I have one for just that purpose). And I can see how people who work outside the office can use them. But for idle chitchat? Please. It seems like everyone walking down the street has a cell phone glued to their ear. Don't forget the drivers. And kids? Using them at school? Come on! Oh, and what about the idiots who can't seem to turn their phones off at the movies? Plays? Restaurants? Yes. Yes. I know they are so important that their call ranks over any audience's or diner's enjoyment. What did we do before we had cell phones? In my opinion, most of the activity that goes on with cell phones can wait until you are near a land line or behind your desk. And, I must say, I thoroughly enjoy using my new Comcast digital voice phone that allows me free local and long distance calling with no roaming. I have to wait til I get home to use it, but I don't care.

Actually, I can. I used, for a previous job, have to lug a phone around, even to bed. That was a period of nightmares I wish I did not have to live through. That was also when I developed phobia for phones and text messages alert. I didn't know or felt anything except relief....till I left the job and got a new one which only requires me to answer the phone for my boss from time to time. Whenever the phone rings or a text message comes thru my cellphone, I'll have a panic attack, I stared at the phone but I couldn't pick it up. It's been a year but I am still under this ridiculous shadow so yes, I can live without a phone and I usually do, leaving my phone at home when I go out.

I don't think I'd be able to live without my cell phone. I use it for just about everything. I check my email on 4 different email accounts. I surf the net (but I haven't yet posted on myLot from my phone). I read the news, check traffic, check sports scores, check stock prices and check the weather. I play games like Tap Tap Revolution. I text my friends and family. I update my Facebook account with it. I take pictures and watch TV shows (like Lost) and listen to music and podcasts. Most of these things (except for the last one), I do on a daily basis from anywhere I am. Oh yeah --- and I also use it to call my friends and family --- LOL. So, yeah, I don't think I'd be able to live without it. It is one of the best and most useful devices I've ever owned.

It is a very convenient tool for remaining in touch with my house whenever I am out. But to say that I can not live without it will be an exaggeration.

I think it has become a necessity because it makes it easier for other people to keep in contact with you wherever you are. It is important for me to have it with me always because I don't want to miss a call.

No not in today's time. It is possible but if you are a networker and very well known or know lots of people. You definitely need one. We can all live without one, but it's hard in today's time. Right now my stupid razor phone is messed up so, I had to order me a totally different new phone. The reason being is because my screen decides it wants to go out on me. How crazy is that. So if someone send me a text message. I can not actually respond. So it sucks but i have been patient, and try not to be a complainer.

I can live without my cell phone however I may not be comfortable without it. Knowing that sometime our friends, family members or colleagues may call us and if we miss the call it can make a great impact to us or to them.

I honestly didn't think I could live w/o my cell phone but I was w/o mine for a few weeks when the battery was dying prematurely till I was able to get it replaced. Guess what? I didn't miss it at all. I consider it my home phone even thou I do have a landline cause I'm never home to answer it. I'm always on the go so ppl know if they need me now to call my cell.

I normally don't go anywhere without my cell phone. Normally it's just calls between me and my s/o, but I also have family that live in another state, so in case of an emergency they can always get hold of me. I also use mine for work, since we all use the same service, and we use the walkie-talkie feature at work. I could live without it at times though, actually most of the time if it wasn't for work.
