Does it hurt to lose your internet connection?

You open your Web browser, only to be greeted by an obscure error message suggesting something is wrong with your Internet connection. Hit the refresh key. Nothing.
Then comes that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach as the realization sets in: No e-mail. No eBay. No MySpace. No YouTube.
suspect for a lot of people, if you cut that cord, they wouldn't know what to do with themselves. What about you? Loss? Or do you just go on about you day doing somethig else?

I am very addicted to internet. When my internet connection is lost, it will drive me crazy. I will try to get it be normal. If I check it's nothing wrong in my side, then I will make a call to complain the internet provider.

Hello dear ersmommy. I would feel very sad if this happened to me and it does happen sometimes. But I would like to teach you something helpful to get back your internet connection. You could unplug the moded and plug again. At the same time, unplug the internect connection to your computer and plug again. Usually it works. This is the way I do. If it still does not work, you could make a phone call to the unicom for them to check how come it happens. I always ask them to do the same as I do at their end and it won't be five minutes before I get back my internet connection again. I hope that I could make it clear for you to understand me. Thanks.

oh its frustrating to have to wait for the connection to get repaired if it is jammed. i keep on calling the service providers and the customer care till they sort things out. but many internet service providers are not so bothered about the customers except during the time of paying the bills. i had this problem initially when i had started using internet. but for the past few months ,to gods grace, there has been no hussles on the connection.

I go into withdrawl when I lose internet access. The first step is to admit I have a problem.

That drives me crazy because I work online every day and I need all the time I can get online to make the most out of my daily earnings. I work with Mylot and alot of other sites each day. It takes alot of hours to work them all. I try to be on and off of here before my husband comes home from work. I hate when the internet act up. Sometimes I will go clean or figure bills until it is working again.

It happens to me all the time. Darn satellite connection. I usually shut down the computer and find something else to do for a little while and then come back to the computer and see if it is working. Most of the time it is not out for very long. I usually have no problem finding other things to do. It is really annoying though when I have stuff on eBay that I need to ship out and I can't log into my account and get the shipping info.

I get annoyed and a bit frustrated because for sure I wanted to do something why I turn the computer on. But it will last only for a while. I'll call the customer service to report loss of internet connection. After that, I'll do other things.

Here in the Dom Rep I can't tell you how many times this happens to me each month. I get up early so that I can sit and have my fix for a couple of hours before my BF gets up and then I have to be socialable again. But to have it not working, oouuuuuccccchhhhh, groaoaooaoan. There is a wild cat that flies around this house when it doesn't work, ringing the computer company, saying yet again no network. Same old reply - it's coming back 'ahorita' meaning any moment now. Yeh, like 4-5 hrs later (gnash teeth) - there goes my internet slot for the day!
