Aargh yuck, I don't like that. It's just too close for comfort. I don't know how people can not respect other people's space around then you know? It's bad enough seeing every pore in their face but when they have bad breath... GAG my gosh, I almost faint!

These basic things should be taught to every child in the school and at home.

I have a serious problem with someone standing too close to me. I do my best to be subtle and back away. I need some breathing room. How do you feel about it, bala??

I hate people trying to stick to me.I sit down if possible and show them the chair opposite whenever possible or else I excuse myself on something very important and fix an appointment later where we can sit down miles apart to continue the conversation.

Ugh! I can't stand that. I was at work when this lady came up and was so close that she was talking into my mouth. I kept moving around to get away from her when I finally held up my hands and told her to stop. I know that in some cultures, they stand closer to you than others. But, if I can feel your breath when you talk, then you're way too close.

This doesn't happen to me very often but when it does I generally don't back away. Wouldn't want the person I am talking with to feel offended. I know what you mean though and there really is no reason to get in anyone's face. Keep a safe distance is more comfortable.

Yeah when the people cling to you in the crowded places and queues I cringe spontaneously with uneasiness. Why can't they keep a decent distance away from us.They tend to act like iron dust to magnet.

This is one of my major pet peeves. I can't stand people standing so close to me. I guess the only time that it really doesn't bug me is at the bar, club, or a concert. Those would be the only exception to this as these places are loud and if you want to hear what the person is saying you kinda have to be fairly close together. In normal atmospheres I can't stand it and tend to pull away but they usually just end up getting closer and then you move away and then they pull in closer. Grrr sure makes me mad.

The worst part is these people always try to follow close to you however much you try to move away from them.

Ewwww no, that's like invading your personal space! I hate someone standing too close to me, I back away quickly because there's nothing worse than having someone in your face. I guess it's different when you are with your partner you have to love them warts and all, but for a stranger to do this is a big no no.

Ha ha.I understand how repulsive a face of warts so near to your face could be.

Cultural difference play a big role in the amount of personal space people require and how close people stand to each other when talking. Myself I need a big bubble of personal space and feel extremely uncomfortable when people invade it. I immediately back off. I must say most people get the message and respect my need for a comfortable distance.

I have a comfort circle around me...and I don't like people coming closer than that. I'll definitely move away if someone came so close to me that I could see their pores....or else I will tell them directly that they are making me uncomfortable and please move away. I'm wondering why anyone would try to stand so close while talking (unless they have some dirty ideas in their head).

If it is my family, especially my nieces and nephew: I would not mind at all. If it's some distant acquaintance or a stranger:yes I do mind, in fact I would hate the feeling of the breath and magnified craters (more of mine). And, Bala, if it is a handsome hunk, I would love it!!

Ewwwwww....LOL.. I don't like people to stand right on top of me when they are talking to me. It invades my space. I do not want them to spit on me or smell their breath either LOL. It makes me very uncomfortable.

personally i haven't had any encounter with a person standing too close to me, that i can actually see crater size pores on his/her face, but i have tried and looked at myself in the mirror and can see the pores on my face hehe :D X it made me think how would you respond if that person didn't have crater in his/her face? if he/she is handsome/beautiful? would it make any difference? would you act differently? ^_^ me honestly i will do...

Well, that is way to close for me to talk to someone. I was brought up with the notion tat if you are talking to someone or someone is talking to you, you should look them in the face. However, I wouldn't want anyone that close in my face to talk to me. More than likely if they were that close in my face, it would be a confrontaion and not a talk.

In your face ..definately not!!!..but I like someone who can look you in the eye!!..to me a certain level of eye contact dispays that the conversation is fairly truthful!! I cant stand people who constantly tell fairy stories!!!!
