Today my partner was approached by three teenage boys "Can i borrow your mobile please to call my dad as i have just been attacked" asked one of them. As he was very shaken up my partner could tell he wasnt lying and lent it to him. All this time i am sitting in the car and thinking is that such a good idea, not knowing the full story. But it did make me think would you have lent your phone to someone you didnt know?

I wont..We cant trust anybody this time. Im sure parents of those kids were responsible enough before they allow them to go out or hang out with friends! We just dont know its just their strategy to earn money in a wrong way..Its too risky to trust strangers!!

If this were to happen to me I'm not 100% sure what I would do. But thinking about it now I would probably ask for the number that they wanted to call and ring on behalf of the kid. But I guess if they seriously looked in trouble and my "gut" feeling was telling me that they were seriously hurt I would probably lend them my phone. I lend my phone to friends all the time, but a stranger I would be a little more wary of.

Depends on the situation. I'm always willing to help a person in need, but in my country this is a pretty good way of getting robbed. If i am convinced that the person needs it and it's safe to lend it, i would do it with no doubt, but that's not the case most of the time...

I won't lend my mobile phone to a stranger. It's because nowadays the crimes are becoming serious. So I keep alert when I go out. If a stranger goes to me, I will already leave immediately. I don't like talking with a stranger. This may be not friendly but I have no choice. I don't want to be cheated.

i could just ask him his dad's number and i can send a message. but if he wants to call i'd have to put it on speaker that way, everybody wins.

I guess nowadays its better not to, because people nowadays are very desparate for money and would do anything even evil things just to have money. I guess the times now are a lot different as compared to the times before. Here in the Philippines, people have access to all medias like tv, internet and reading materials wich usually affects the culture of modern Filipinos making the culture of modern Filipinos a mixes cultire of local and foreign. We could really never avoid this from happening, because its part of modernization and innovation. I can say that these innovations may bring good influences and at the same time bing also bad influences to a certain person may he be young or old.
