Death of a fishy

My kids got me a Betta fish for Mother's Day about 5 years ago and I have been keeping this little life alive for 5 years and now this morning the little fish (we named his ozwald) died :(. I am sad my kids got him for me and every time when I would go feed him I would think of my kids, *sigh* well I knew this day was coming. Have your kids ever gotten you anything and then it died?
