Monarchy

What is your opinion on the monarchy? (I'm talking about England, but if you're not English you can still share your views :D). I think the monarchy would be quite good if they actually do something and not leave everything to the goverment :3. Maybe this'll change when we get a King? Who knows!

I am a Canadian and I respect the monarchy and hope that we have some relation to our history with them for a long time to come. I used to think they were useless and did nothing until I started to watch a show on TV about the day to day lives of the Queen and her family.They do a lot and get very little thanks for it. I think the government should run the country but the monarchy still does a lot for charity .

I'm Canadian and Canada was a British Colony for hundreds of years. We still Have a Governor General who is supposed to look after the Queens business in Canada but the Job is just window-dressing. Most Canadians are not very interested in the Monarchy. In fact when the Royals make a trip to the US they get more respect than they do in Canada. I think the Royal family is a Tourist Attraction in Briton, and that's fine with me. I wouldn't pay a nickle to see the Queen pee!

Get rid of them, they do no good whatsoever. I wouldn't mind them so much, if they didn't cost so much and considering their actual wealth it is sickening that they receive money from hard working tax payers.
I wouldn't trust them to run the country, I don't even trust the government, who are supposed to be experienced enough to do it.
