Last fall I was on my computer and a little squirrel peeks in my front window and almost gives me a heart attack! I did not expect to have a visitor peek on me like that lol. So I immediately grabbed my camera and started taking pictures of the friendly lil guy. I seen him go under my front steps and grab a blue Jay cloth as you can see in the picture the one he has shoved in his little mouth. He started pushing it in his mouth and this cloth was pretty big. I'm guessing he was using it for his home for the winter? I got a good laugh out of this from watching him.
I thought it would be cute to share with you this story of mine.

They are such busy little creatures that's forsure and very nervous as well. I can't even come close to one without it running away.
When I was a kid, my granny had a squirrel friend and it would come and eat her seeds she gave him. It also loved bread too.
My aunt has a squirrel that scratches at her door, she'll let him in and there will be peanuts on her pourch steps for him and he will help himself.. it's so cute how people can train wild animals!

I love it!!! Your story brings to mind something that happened to me when I was living in Montana as a single mother. I was living in a mobile home at the time, and I had just put my daughter to bed when a special bulletin came on the news. A prisoner had escaped from a local prison, he was a convicted murderer, and headed towards my town. I, of course, made sure that all the doors were locked and then checked the windows. I had just sat down when I heard a knocking at the door. I looked out the window and didn't see anyone.. I heard the knock again and I very carefully opened the door...I about jumped out of my skin when I looked down to find a squirrel at my feet. Fortunately it was still daylight so I wasn't too shook. Then, after it was dark, I heard a bang at the back of my home. I went back to check out the window...I about screamed myself silly when I saw a face looking back at me. Then reason came into play and I realized, sheepishly, that it was my own reflection.

I've done that before too! I work in a nursing home and I get the creeps at night sometimes in this one room. I can see my own reflection from the window in the room across from me all the time. I usually see it from the corner of my eye then realize it's just me!
That squirrel that was at your door is pretty smart.
Thanks for your comment

hey too cute yar..they are very smart creatures..in my house a squirrel was carrying her baby and climbing the ladder. suddenly she dropped its baby down.fortunately nothing happened to the little one.i took it and fed the baby squirrel and kept it safely near the ladder on a soft cloth for the mother to come and take it. after four hours the mother came and took it.the best part of it was my cats were also playing with that baby squirrel and dint cause any harm to it.
