When I was a teenager I always said to myself that I would never, ever in my entire life end up being like my mother!!!
Why I came to this decision I will never know!
But here I am a good few years on..and a carbon copy of my Mum!!!!!!
My daughter has recently said to me.."Oh Mum..im never going to be like you !!"
I thought how ironic..history repeats itself..the only difference being that I would have never voiced my opinion!!!
I like my mum have gone with the flow...and though `keep myself reasonably smart`..I dont follow fashion anymore..I feel it not appropriate for me now,
My daughter sys she will fight it all the way!!!!
I wonder how many daughters have said this to their Mums????

When I was a kid, my mom and I don't really have the best relationships. But now that I am of age, I really hope I could be as good as a mom like my mother.

No but I have often thought it about my mum. My mum always says that she hopes she does not end up like her mum, but mum I hate to tell you this you are getting just like her ha ha. And sometimes I catch myself doing something and I think oh my goodness I feel just like my mum. So it does happen whether we like it or not.

I'm guilty. My mom and I didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things and I always swore I would never be like my mom. Now she is gone and I find I am doing and saying things that she used to do. It is then that I realize she was right about some things. It always makes my eyes roll when I realize I am being just like her.

yeah i used to say the same thing when i was younger and now that i have three children of my own i find myself acting like my mother more and more all the time. there will be things that i say or do and i will be like, "oh crap, that is so my mother". LOL! some things are just instilled in you as you grow up and can't be helped, which sometimes isn't a bad thing. my mother taught me well on how to handle things and i am sometimes glad that i am like her. God bless

I was the same way to when I was young, I was not going to me like mom. Now that I have raised my children, I found I often did the things she did. I would also hear myself saying things just like her as well. *sigh* the cirlce of life I suppose. The thing that she did to all of us, was she would say, when she was frustrated, "I hope you have a kid just like you." We called that the mothers curse. I have 8 siblings. I think she said it to each of us at one point or another.![](/Content/images/emotes/blink.gif)
