The most recent book I bought, was Devour, by Melina Morel. The cover looked interesting, and it included 3 of my favorite types of paranormal creatures, so I just had to have it! It has werewolves, werecats, and vampires in it. I just started reading it last night and so far it's quite interesting.
What's the most recent book you bought? Why did you buy it? Are you reading it now or is it just in your list of to be read books?

I recently found a book in Dollar Tree that looked interesting, so I bought it. I really enjoyed reading it. It is by Mary Mapes and is titled "Truth and Duty: The Press, The President and the Privilege of Power". It is the story behind the Dan Rather report on George Bush's National Guard service that cost her and Dan, as well as several others, their jobs. It covers the political atmosphere in America at the time and the fear that gripped the media at appearing anti-Administration rather than simply investigative. It also touches on the potential dangers behind such political power in a free society. I found it an excellent read as well as a real bargain!

That was very discriptive, thank you! I think you would do great writing book reviews. You should check out Epinions.com, where they pay you to write reviews on just about anything from books, movies, beauty products, and even food. I've already been paid by them once, as I write reveiws on books and such there. You might enjoy it! They don't have a referral program though, which would be good, but it's still a great site.

I bought Philip Pullman's The dark Materials. I read all three books really quickly! I thought that it was absolutely fantastic! It's a trilogy I think all should read. Now for my next question should i watch the film? I guess so but I'm glad I read the book first. I always get a little disappointed with film adaptations. My Lyra is MY Lyra!

I get a lot of books as gifts, so sometimes it's hard to remember which ones I bought and which ones were given to me. I think the last one I bought for myself was called The Penderwicks, but I don't recall the author. It's a children's book, and I bought it because the description said it was like old fashioned books, only with modern day characters. But, I didn't really like it.

The last book that I bought, which was over a month ago, was a book on the previous Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. I regard him as one of my heros because of his visions and ideas. Although he no longer leads this country, many people still view him as a hero and a major influence in their lives
