I found all thes movies rather disturbing. I really wonder whos job it was to sit in a room and think up all these demented tortures. Movies like the ring and the grudge had a pretty messed up story line and actually managed to scare me. These movies were more grotesque than anything else. I found myself cringing every couple minutes.

I saw the first three saw movies. These movies have taken gore cinema to a new level along with hostel. But the good thing is that the saw movies are psychologically good as well. So i am looking forward to watch saw 4 on dvd.

I went to the theatre to see the 1st one. After Carey Elwes character cut off his own foot. I was done. I love spooky type movies, Halloween(original) Slither the Ring etc. But that turned my stomach. I haven't seen the others.

I've watched all 4 (actually have the dvd's at home) and I really enjoy them. Yes, there is a ton of gross stuff in them, but, if you actually sit down and watch all 4 in a row (and pay attention), there is actually a story there that unfolds more and more with eaach movie. In the 4th Saw, you see thet things that Jigsaw went through that pushed him to doing what he's been doing. Now, I'm not saying he's right in doing what he does, but after knowing the whole story, you can understand a little bit why he does it. I'm not going into any detail in case someone reading this hasn't seen one (or more) of the movies yet. Like I said, I definitely do not condone Jigsaw's actions, but I know why he does it. The person I would be concerned about is the writer - he's the one that thought up all the nasty stuff.
