I wore green so I didn't get pinched. My husband also wore green so I couldn't pinch hime either. My daughter wore green to chool and my dog has a green collar. Our little hamspter has green on his house so we could pinch him either, LOL.

I did not wear green today. I did not get pinched. I am not sure where it got started, but I remember it from when I was in school. Kids were going around all day pinching other kids for not wearing green.

I've never heard of the pinching thing. But as rintintin said, there is no Irish in me so why would I celebrate their day? If I had have worn green it would have been co-incidence but I didn't wear any.

I've never heard of people getting pinched for not wearing green. But, I had to wear a uniform when I was in school. It never happened to me in college, either. I do tend to wear green on St. Patrick's Day, though, because it's fun. I'm wearing green right now.

My daughter came home today and told me about the pinch thing. I had never heard that before. She did not wear green today, but friends gave her small things with it. She tried pinching me tonight cause I forgot also.

I think it is supposed to be the leprechauns who pinch you for not showing them your respect by wearing green.

Must be an American thing, doesn't happen here. Why should everyone wear green anyway, seems a bit silly. I could I suppose, as I do have Irish ancestry but wouldn't as what is the point? I think of myself firstly as being Scottish, then European not Irish.
