Can you imagine living alone?

Have you ever lived alone? Do you think you would struggle at all? What if all your friends and family were back in your hometown? How would you feel? Do you think you can make many friends very quickly? Would you try to please or impress everyone around you? Although, I'm not talking about an isolated island or a prison camp. ps I heard posting discussions is good karma! lol

I've lived alone many times and it doesn't bother me. I guess I tend to be a bit of a loner, and I like to do what I want, when I want. Or do nothing at all! I haven't lived near any family since I left home at 18 to join the Marine Corps (I'm 50 now), and my only friends are those I've met online. Works for me.

Oh I see yeah. That is a long time to live alone. I should have probably included in the beginning of the discussion that I am just away at school lol. So I am completly new to this whole world. Its a little different when you have to worry about all the school work too. You like to do nothing at all sometimes?! haha

Oh I haven't lived alone all that time, I just haven't lived near my family, where I grew up, since then.

I have lived alone my whole adult life and I really like it. I actually can't imagine living with anyone since it's been so long since I've done so. I have family around the region, but they aren't really close enough that it's easy to visit them a lot especially with today's gas prices and stuff.

I'm already married for more than five years now, but when I was still single and unattached, particularly during my college days which was approximately twelve years ago; I could say that I was happy being with friends. Some people prefer to live alone or being single. There's perfectly nothing wrong with that. Everyone has a right to choose singleblessedness or is entitled to his or her own opinion. But I guess it's just one phase of life which any person would go through. Sometimes, I would think or assume that I'm not yet married but somehow, I feel a little empty. In particular, I would regret not having my daughter now who's turning three this year. Then, I would be thankful to the Lord that I am married because of the people who make up my own family and that they do care for me. I believe that everything that happens has a purpose and are only bits or parts of God's divine plan.

i've never lived alone before except for when i was studying abroad. it was definitely a struggle, i had to do everything on my own- from cooking to laundry, cleaning up my room and making sure i was taking care of myself haha. i missed my family and friends terribly but there was always the internet and telephone. sometimes i wish i had my mom with me and that my close friends were around, especially if i was having problems or when i was stressed out from studying and stuff. but everything went well, i had my friends over there so it wasn't too bad ;)

I lived alone for one year in a small apartment... it was quite fun and peaceful... although it would have been great if i had all the things i wanted like a computer with internet access and television with dvd... but finances were scarce then... so i spent most of my idle time cross stitching...but it was still great because i got to be independent and responsible...
