Why is MyLot called "MyLot"

lot means a unit of earth that belongs to you. maybe it means it's your little world,or it's link to some cute means,who knows.just enjoy it,i think

This is an interesting discussion . May be the boss of the mylot can explain this. I guess it mean that "my lots of talking",hehe

Interesting question here. To me, I would consider myLot meaning a place where you can call "HOME" and lay your head and be able to come to to discuss the things of life that are going on around you, and to get some feedback to know everything is going to be ok. In reality, looking at housing, a lot is a place of land you purchase to build a home, so this is where I am coming from. I am sure there are many ways to look at this though.

I asked the same question when i was still new here in mylot... and i seems that nobody knew the real answer... but just last month... when Crash made his/her debut... a member asked him why this site is called mylot... and Crash said that... the original name was suppose to be "thelot"... but that name was bought by a certain tv program or station which turned out to be as the official site of the show... On The Lot... so the mylot admin decided to go for their second choice... which was "Mylot"... which i think is much better than their first choice...

Hello Pitstop, Well, this question really intrigue, eversince I joined this site. But I do think it has explanation as to why they choose this name. We can have a lot of opinions about it and some may have pinpoint the right reason why it is called mylot but we will not know unless the owner of mylot confirmed that. But I am hopeful mylot admin or crash could read this discussion and gives us the answer.

I think Mylot stands for My+lot which means a lot of things for you,,,like money, discussions, photos, friends, etc...

I always thought it was taking the piss out of myspace, or a cheap rip off at the least lol
