The fight of the Mexican champion, Juan Manuel Marquez and the Filipino pride, Manny Pacquiao was over and Pacquiao won the title as the new World Superfeatherweight Champion in a split decision. But there are questions rising regarding the result of the fight. There are people saying that Marquez should be the winner. The reason why some are asking for a rematch and put an end to some gray areas on who should be held as the World Boxing Champion.
Are you in favor of a rematch? In your opinion, is it a finished or unfinished business?

When it comes to punch count, the dynamite really landed more compared to what pacman delivered. If pacman didn't get the dynamite down by the third round, it would've been favourable for the latter.
Then again, I just heard that staggering after being punched also counts even when the boxer didn't really get knocked down. The dynamite often did stagger during the bout.
But still, many would prefer a convincing win like multiple knock-downs if not a total knock out. It depends on the one being challenged if a rematch would happen and about the business if its finished or not, it wouldn't be over if the challenge was accepted or if the defeated party would always challenge the winner. The business would never be over until they cease to do rematches.

in my opinion, it already a finished business. both marquez and pacquiao are good fighters, they are very equal fighters. it is really very hard to decide who won, considering the fact that they both have skills. they are both winners, it so happen that pacquiao gave a punch more than marquez.

Well being a Filipino I would like to think that Pacquiao really won in the last fight. But I do agree that the fight was indeed intense as I could see in Manny's face that he did have his share of heavy blows from Marquez. I am just sad that there are sportscasters that favored for Marquez and even dared that it must be investigated and questioned that judges that made the decision. But its true what Pacquiao said, there was never any question on the side of the foreign journalist about his winnings but only the local media is making the hype about it.
I think a rematch is possible to really know but questioning the results is just purely moot and academic. It is just very typical Filipino attitude that we like to investigate and investigate and the results are just as vague as it was before.

I would agree. It was still an unfinished business and they both need to rematch for the second time around. They are both strong and strategic players. However, Marquez really scored higher than Pacquiao on their last fight. It was quite apparent upon watching the fight. They need to end this. Rematch.

I think they have to do a rematch to know which is the best on both of them, Coz they said Marquez is supposed to be the winner but Pacquiao is more marketable to people thats why they make him win.,. Boxing experts which are filipinos think that it should be Marquez not Pacqiao.. but i wish they have a rematch soon to know who is the strongest

everyone who loses shouts for a rematch!
lol. you see the pattern right? maybe there is something thats why it is being questioned. even pacman cry for a rematched when he lose to Morales( he's the one right??). and FPJ too! lol.
but he nearly Knock-out Marquez right? its a win on he's side ON the 3rd round. but the dynamite bomb he's way to pacman in the rest of the matched. maybe he hadn't bombed enough thats why pacman won. anyway, i won the bet so i would side with pacman! hey, im a business woman. hihihihi

I think it is finished. Pacquiao already won the most recent fight.
I saw the look on his face, he too thought he'd lose the game... looks as if he will too. he's bleeding all over. But it was such a sweet victory for him - i wish this will not add up to the air in his head.
Its time to be humble and thank the Lord for his blessings.

It was a nice fight although Pacquiao did not meet my expectations. Pacquiao did not win convincingly and the split decision tells a lot. Marquez would have won if he encountered the same type of boxer that has a different name. Boxing is all business now. It must not be considered a sport.
