Why do people think that all mlm businesses are all scams?

I do not think they all are, because I'm in one doing pretty good right now, I have other friends in a couple of other ones. So I really do not like how people on here bash a lot of these different marketing businesses. I understand it may not have worked out, but I know some legitimate ones.

I think that there are many out there that are scams, and even some that are technically legal but still structured to rob people. I'm sure that's why so many people assume that all are bad. I have recently become involved in one that is wonderful. Wouldn't it be something if we were in the same one?
If anyone's interested in hearing about mine, send me a private message.

Yep you are right. It is just that people want things at there demand. People do not have patience to build a team. They want to do something that is so easy and simple, like mylot, but with marketing you can make bukos of money with the right mentor right legitimate business.

I think it's because many people mistake an MLM for a pyramid . And a pyramid is a scam. But MLM is not.
And also if an MLM does not even charge to get into, then I think there is no way to get scammed.. because you don't lose money, but you can make money.

i am not sure of this either. however, everything you do online is MLM one way or another. I personal think that if you find one that is not to expensive and teach people how to work it, everyone can start making some kind of money sooner then later

Its easier to think that the business is a scam, rather than think they may not have done what it takes to earn money in a particular business; especially since there are so many scams out there. Most people don't realize it takes six months of strategized marketing to see real results in any business. They are expecting instant returns. When they don't see those, they instantly think that its a scam.
Don't feel bad, most people who bash MLM, network marketing, or any money making idea on the internet are mostly the lazy who never had the ambition to do it themselves.

O yea you so right about that. They are scared to take a risk. But a lot times we do not do our research. But it's always people looking for opportunity and they are the one's that are hungry for the prize. So that is the kind of people I am looking for.

People automatically assume business opportunities are scams because they have been burned so many times. Also, society conditions people to be fearful.
It has nothing to do with the legitimacy of a business, some people are just afraid. Others are simply ignorant.
No matter what, any business opportunity requires either very good mentorship or alot of startup capital, because with out a mentor the traditional means of making any business is trial and error, and in business err costs money.

1. People bash what they don't understand
2. People bash because they got into something that was either a scam or were mis-led into thinking they didn't have to do anything
3. People think every company is like Amway (excuse the reference)
4. People bash out of jealousy because they think they can't do it and if they can't, they certainly don't want you to succeed.
~that's just a start
