I am curious to find out if anyone has read this incredible book and participating in the Oprah on line classes? If you are, I would like to discuss it. If you aren't, I am curious as to why you would choose not to read it. I have gained so much from this book and highly suggest it. I really want to hear your viewpoints. This is really worth a discussion.

Thank you so much for responding. I am new here and it seems that it takes awhile for the users here to warm up enough to respond. So, I appreciate greatly that you took the time to do so.
If you are ready, then this book will change your life. It is not for everyone, but when you get it, you really do awaken to your life's purpose. I have read a lot of books like this, but this is the first time I really understood, it is deep but I am so happy that I found it. I hope you will find it as valuable as I do. I would love to have someone to discuss it with. Thanks again.

Me, I like a wait a little when a book with good ratings comes out so I can hear a little more about what everyone says about it. i just requested it at my local library after browsing through it in barnes and nobles, it reminds me alot of 'A Course In Miracles', the way it speaks about the ego but that was my general impression. Thats great if it will help clear some things up because ACIM makes my brain tired but it really is life changing.

Update: 4-08-08, I cannot believe it but my boyfriend has gotten really into "A New EArth" and is now listening to the CD's himself and over and over. He says he feels like their doing something to him and tonight he went into our bedroom alone and started reading my Course on Miracles book. This so profound to me because I have discussed thing with him before and I always rave about books that really make an impression on me but he is never interested. I told him once about "The Disappearance of the Universe" which is a precursor to A Course On Miracles but written as a dialogue in most parts so I told him to start with that before ACIM just to understand the basic principles and he wants me to get it. Ever since I knew him he has always struggled with his upbringing, ISLAM, and I'll be happier than ever if he can finally find some peace in these readings.

I've been trying to read this book for months. I just can't get into it. I thought it was going to be great. Now I'm not so sure. I have just posted my own discussion about this. I see that others have the same opinion as me.
I really wanted this book to be great and to inspire me. But no such luck so far. I think I'm gonna put it down for now and go on to something else. Maybe I can come back to it later.

I was reading the book and following along with the webcasts and doing the exercises. Then at around chpt.8 I had my daughter and never got to finish. I am glad that the webcasts were there for us to download. Even though I still am finding it hard to find the time to even read the rest of the book I know that I can still go back and I didn't miss anything. I agree that it has to be the best book that I have ever read.
