Have you ever played instruments?

What instruments have you played and for how long? Did you take lessons? Which was your favorite to play? I have played piano, guitar, and trombone. I took piano lessons from 3rd-12th grade. I've played for about 12 or 13 years now. It is by far my favorite instrument to play! I could play it all day if I wanted to. I sometimes write songs myself on it. It's very relaxing. I took guitar lessons for only one year. I can only play open chords, but even just knowing that has let me write a ton of my own songs. Plus I can read tabs online. I played trombone in the band in middle school. I took lessons for 3 years, but dropped out before High School cause I didn't want to be in marching band.

I've tried lots of different instruments: Violin, Recorder, Piano, Keyboard and Guitar. I only really learnt piano, in the others there was something about either the instrument or the teacher I didn't like. I played the piano for several years and got pretty good but I found that my teachers, again, weren't being to helpful and I found it hard to read music. It'd be nice to start up guitar again, I probably will in the near future, I find it a nice instrument.

I took piano lessons when I was 5 or 6, but I wasn't that into it. Then I took guitar lessons for a year or two when I was 13 and I loved it. :]

I envy anyone who can play an instrument,I would have loved to have played the piano.... My son learned to play the double bass...at school..it came in use at school concerts. My daughters tried to learn to play the violin,but ohh Lord...what a noise they made!!!!
