Just when I was starting to think I would never write anything worth payment on associated content, 2 of my articles were approved for upfront payment! One is an essay about making a statement without killing people in response to school shootings & other violence and the other article is on creative ways to use picture frames for gifts. I am so excited!
I have also been doing a lot of commenting on there the past week or so and it has really helped increase my page views...maybe in the next year or so I might actually be able to request payment, lol.
So are you an Associate Content writer? How have your earnings been on there? What advice do you have?
If you'd like to share any of your articles & I haven't found you on there yet feel free to share with me your link - I'd be happy to read & comment on your articles!

WOW! Gratz, thats great! =) I have had 2 articles approved for upfront payment too--together they made me around 8 dollars. Now with all the articles I have written, I got less than 1 dollar for performance payment lol.

Did you do exclusive or non-exclusive rights? I did non-exclusive to make $3.33 an article. It is a great feeling, but it is slow! I sent a friend request to you - send me your ac link and i will read some of yours!

I am so glad to hear this. I haven't asked for upfront payment for any of my AC articles yet, but I am stoked today also as my blog was just approved by PayPerPost. Now it will be too much fun trying to figure out how t5hat program works. Maybe the best thing would be to go to AC and do a search there to see if any enterprising writers have done helpful articles on getting started there, lol. Anyhoo, wtg!

I signed up with commission junction a while back, but have not waded through the instructions yet. I totally love one product they have in their collection, so it is not like selling. I hate selling.--Didn't know one way or another about PayPerPost until I started reading stuck-up articles by people who were dissing the "posties" and calling them lower than scum, so I decided to check it out and I after a LOT of reading, I sided with the posties because those other guys sound just like some of the arrogant and opinionated characters who tried to keep "ordinary" people from using the internet in any capacity back in the 70's for no better reason than that it kept their own consulting fees high. I'm completely for disclosure, but I also like for everyone with an idea to be allowed to express it. So really all of this is new to me, but interesting so far. Glad to have a "chum" learning alongside me, lol.

I didn't think my articles stood a chance to be honest...but the one I was passionate when I wrote it so thought what the heck, might as well try...to my surprise the one was instantly the approved - the other they made some suggestions & reccommended I resubmit it for payment & within minutes it was approved! I was thinking of payperpost, but then I thought of a better way to make money: sign up for commission junction and get in on the affiliate programs...hopefully as I get more traffic it will be more effective...i'll let you know if that works, lol. the best part is i don't need their disclaimer or feel like a sell-out...plus I can be selective to only choose the affiliates I believe in...that reminds me, I think I'm overdue on a visit to your blog :)

But I am Glad you just got some stuff accepted in there. Best of Luck with your Writing. Vera I am happy to hear that you were approved for up front payment from AC. I love this site, and I just got approved the other day as well! I used to write all the time and I was earning like $100 a week, but recently I have had to cut back on my writing because I am working more. But it is a great site, and I have heard of people earning a living just on the money that they earn on AC, and at about $5 per article I could see it happening as long as they wrote a lot of articles each day. Here is my CP page will you share yours as well? http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/67042/brian_cote.html

Congratulations! I just received the email that my latest was declined for upfront payment. I'm extra bummed about it because it's the first one I've written in about 2 weeks. I think you are already in my favorites at AC. I've read some of yours, and I'll check out the new ones. They'll probably be published soon. AC is good about publishing them quickly.
I need to spend more time reading stuff over there, maybe it'll help me.

Congratulations! That is wonderful! Doesn't it feel good to bring in money by doing something you already enjoy? I am not familiar with Associated Content other than reading a few mylotters articles. It sounds like this will happen for you again in the future!

That is too bad you had a bad experience with them. I can definately respect your decision to pursue things that are more worthwhile!

That's cool. When I get a chance I will try to comment on your work. My earnings are either hit or miss. You won't need to request payment actually. Performance Pay goes to you every month if you reach $1.50 at the min of course.

My earnings haven't been bad, just trying to promote more so lately. I will try to comment and read the articles. I've been there for almost one year.

I have written quite a few articles for Associated Content. If you would like to look at them I have most of the addresses in my profile.
I was making pretty good money writing over there but have lost a little ambition and motivation lately.
I know it is a phase and it will pass; then I will start writing again.
Even though the site says you have to reach a certain amount in performance payments to get paid, I have been getting paid monthly lately, in addition to the agreed upon upfront payment. Maybe they changed it (I hope).
Congrats on getting your first articles accepted!!

Way to go! I am trying to do the same, but have not tried AC. I've sent a couple of things to e-how and triond but don't know exactly how it works. In the meantime, I'm just gonna keep on trying and I will most surely check out AC. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations. I have tried writting some things and have never succeeded in getting anything approved so I have never earned any money from any of them. I have given up and I will stick to mylot for my writing. But good for you and I hope by now, 3 months later, you have received your earnings. Oops, I see you need to reach a minimum before you can request your payment. Good luck to you and I hope you keep getting accepted and make more money.
