Catching up with old friends.

I recently have started searching for "childhood friends" on the internet.
A girl I used to be very good friends with and have never really lost touch with got me addicted to searching up old friends on the internet. She is a fanastic one for remembering all the people we knew in our teams and their full names and she introduced me to searching for them on a social networking site.
I never expected to find or even remember nearly as many people as I do and it really is an interesting thing to do.
We are in the UK and use a social networking site called Bebo ( http://www.bebo.com ). Basically everyone who is anyone in the UK has a Bebo site and you can go on and browse what they have being doing with themselves. You can look at pictures and view all their friends and even read comments that other people have left them and then from there decide if you want to leave a message for them and hope they get back in touch.
Bebo you may have heard of if you are in the states because they were bought over last week by AOL at an absolutely ridiculous price.
On my Bebo I have searched and found people I haven't seen since I left a school when I was 7. I found my first boyfriend I have not seen since I was 12. I have found the group that I hung around with as a teen and am actually organising a reunion for us on Saturday night and I have found people I worked with a few years ago and lost contact with.
It really does turn into an addictive hobby and can be known as "Bebo Stalking" but I do thoroughly recommend it.
But it has been great speaking to all these old friends, and even although I don't have a great memory when urged about stories they all come flying back to me and it is wonderful.
You should try it yourself.

I looked up some of my friends on MySpace and found them. I really did it more out of curiosity then to contact any of them. A few of them I had sincere intentions and correspond with now regularly, and it was nice to see them again and chat because we used to be so close in school and, essentially as people, have not changed a great deal except for the experiences we've gone through.
It's nice to catch up with SOME old friends, but others I wouldn't care to speak to ever again.
I'm glad you had good experiences and are able to organize a reunion! You must be excited, congratulations. I'm happy for you. :)

Oh well there are plenty of people I would quite happily never see again too of course but that is the fabulous thing of Bebo. You can just choose the ones that you like.
I was a terrible one for keeping in touch with people so it really is good to have them all back again.

I got in touch with all sorts of old school friends from over 20 years ago, via facebook. It was so easy! Once you find one or two, then they have links to a few more, and then the growth continues. You finally get the chance find out "whatever happened to so and so?". It's fantastic!
Good job on organizing a reunion on Saturday night. It'll be a blast I'm sure! :) I hope to get together with a bunch of my old classmates soon. Most of them still live in Toronto, and I'm two hours away without a driver's license or a car. Sigh!

Born and raised in Toronto, and never bothered there. Then when coming to London with nuckfuts, there wasn't enough money for me to get my license. I finally got my G1 (first level) a couple of weeks before I left nuckfuts. And since then, I have had no vehicle to practice on. I have also since lost my G1 (it expired).
So yes, seriously... I don't drive.
