I went to the rally today in Richmond, Indiana, for Hillary Clinton, Bill was there to get support for her. My eldest child was thrilled for a short moment when she got to meet, Mr. Clinton, but with-in a few minutes, I was horrified. I understand the need for secret service men to protect, our Presidents and former Presidents. But I find it totally unacceptable for the snipers on the roof, to be pointing an automatic weapon at my 8 and 11 year old children, the former President was nowhere near them anymore. After my eldest got to shake his hand, the sniper on the fire house roof, followed my child with his gun and kept it on her for over three minutes. Then I yelled out that he needed to be watching Mr. Clinton and to get that damn weapon off my children. I am appalled, that they find the need to train an automatic weapon on children. I was with-in two feet of him and had my cell phone in his face to get a picture, if a gun should have been on anyone it should have been me, not my children.
I homeschool, my children and since this is such a historical race, I decided what better way of teaching them about our history and government by letting them get involved.
My child started crying because she thought the secret service man was going to shoot her. She is scared to go to any other event now. That is wrong, today was the first time ever I was ashamed to be an American.

I knew that Secret Service needs to be there, but I didn't know about snipers. That's a scary thought knowing that a rifle was aimed at you as you shook a politician's hand. If you suddenly sneezed or cough could mean your life was at stake.
