You can first learn to apply the basics. You can use face powder or foundation that will match your skin tone to give you a matte finish look, then you can apply blush on, lipstick or just lip gloss. You can curl your eyelashes by using a eyelash curler and apply waterproof mascara. This is just a casual/on-the-go look. If you are attending a dinner, party or other events, you can add eye shadows. You can check some women magazines or internet sites for women that has articles about how to apply make-ups. =)

If you want to learn how to apply make-up, my best advice is make it look natural. Go with a foundation that is just about the same color as your natural skin tone. Then apply eyeliner, mascara, and your choice of eye shaddow. Normally I go with nutrual colors. Such as light browns, tans and things that look pretty natural anyway. Thats the best way to apply makeup if you ask me. Make it look like you dont have any on. Thats what I've always been taught. This way you wont look like a dork running around with all sorts of eye shadow colors on and foundation that makes you look like you have a tan on your face, but super white on your arms.
Now, if you want to do your hair thats another story. Try going online and looking up things like "do it yourself hair dos" and things like that. Normally they will give you a step by step guide as to how to do a certian hair style you like.

Yes I agree natural looks the best. Also try not to over do it. The best advice I could give you is experiment with the make up. See what shades look best on you. Try applying it on different ways. Always try to make it look natural and try not to put to much on. I think if someone has too much on it doesn't look good at all.

I totally agree with everyone. With me, I wear loose powder, eye shadow that matches my skin basically but you can kind of tell I am wearing it, mascara and that's it. You look totally natural, but it looks good. Not cakey or anything, because that is just gross. There are sites that show you how you can apply the makeup.

Don't worry its easy and you can learn.
Start by selecting the right products-the basics.
Concealer-To cover up minor blemishes and other things, you'll want something just to shades lighter than your natural skintone. Blend it in with a small
makeup brush in a circular motion until it blends and
you can see it anymore.
Eyeline-The purpose of eyeliner is to define your
eyes. It is tricky, but I recommend you to starty with
a liquid eyeliner. Hold it close to your eyelid,
where it meets your lash line, lightly trace it over
from the inner lid to the outer lid. Do the same with
your other eye. Make sure you have a few q-tips
to correct any mistakes.
Lipstick/Lipgloss-Start with a neutral color and
put it on your lips. To make lipstick last longer,
place a square of tissue paper of your lips and
blot with powder.Use a big blush brush to do that.
Then add just a little more lipstick.
