How many people feel like they have a shopping addiction? lol I do. Anytime I get extra money that seems to be where it goes. At least thats the way it use to be until I had my son. I still like to go out and buy things here and there, but not for me or my husband, but for my son. I could spend hours looking at clothes and stuff. What about you? What do you tend to buy a lot of?

I used to have a bit of an addiction, I still do somewhat, it has never been a real problem since I never buy more than I can chew off. I have never spent beyond my means, I just realized one day of much money I could have saved up for something really special like a family vacation or something if I would just cut back on my spending a bit. I have a budget now and try to stay within it never going over and if I saty under it rollsover to the next month.

At least you have a budget. Some people go out and spend their life savings and never get ahead.

How I wish I had the luxury of time and money to go on shopping anytime I want. It is enjoyable to buy things for my son, husband and stuff to be used at home. Occasionally just go around to browse to see what is new in the mall and to refresh and beat stress out of office work.

I know exectly how you feel. I never have the time or money to really go out and shop, but it is nice to go out and just look around.

Yes I own up to being addicted to shopping, I love it, luckily I don't have expensive taste, but I get even a bigger kick out of buying things for other people, i just love shopping. I think it is ok though so long as it is kept in check.

I do agree with you there. There are some people who are REALLY addicted and cant keep things in check because of it.

My husband would say I am addicted to shopping. I shop every week. I do not miss a sale and I will buy anything that is free. I find that CVS, Ritaid and Walgreens stores all run great rebate offers. These offers are often free or near free. The other thing is if you clip coupons you can save even more.
I know clipping coupons and watching sales can take time but it can be worth it.
I found when I worked a full time job we made a lot of money. However, we did eat out a lot and that cost money as well. When I did cook at home or needed personal items I had to pay full price because I was too tired to cut coupons.
Now that I have been off work. I find that we have more money than ever. I get to the sales and clip coupons and use rebates as well. I spend extra time figuring new ways to save money.
The truth of the matter is if you can get your personally items free than you can take that extra money and buy meat for making your dinner. It is also saving money when you cook at home and don't go out so often.
My husband says as long as it is free I will buy it. The truth is I can not stop. I have to find those best buys and I have to save. It is in my blood now. My daughter says I can make a penny squeel literally.
I enjoy shopping for clothes more now that I can find ways to save on them as well. After holidays or after a season is over you get great discounts. Believe it or not there are also rebates on clothes. Watch the internet for coupons to be used at clothing stores like fashion bug, target, the gap, levi and nike. You will be surprised what there are coupons on.
I love to shop and shop I must.

I wouldn't say I am addicted, but I love to look around. I don't find it fun, however, to have unlimited money and just spend.
Part of the fun is in having to choose, to look around, to make deciscions, to feel in control.
And I LOVE buying for other people ! =]
