Sharing: I threw It Out

Last Week I threw out Worrying,
it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me;
I couldn't do things my way.
I threw out those Inhibitions;
they were just crowding me out.
Made room for my New Growth,
got rid of my old dreams and doubts.
I threw out a book on MY PAST
(didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with New Goals,
started reading it today.
I threw out childhood toys
(remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too,
threw out the one from long ago.
Bought in some new books too,
called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, You should've seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND,
haven't seen him in a while.
I believe his name is GOD,
Yes, I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning
and added some thing's Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE and FAITH,
Yes I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing
and placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT - its called PEACE.
Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For things like Worry and Trouble
there just isn't any place.
Its good to do a little house cleaning,
get rid of the old things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter;
maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.
I am reminded by this simple poem. Very true, hit me right on the center of my heart.
I hope you will like this poem too.
Have a nice day and happy mylotting!

reminds me of year end cleaning I always do, throwing out past garbage - physically, but somehow helps throwing out emotional one too. If there is a will, there is a way. So will it, and you will be shown a way.

Yes thats very true, what happens to us is taht we tend to hold on to our garbages ans caary them for life rather than throw those unwanted ones. Its indeed great to throw them away ang travel light.

This is a very nice poem. Thanks for posting it. I especially liked the part of and old friend God. No matter what He does stay steady with us. This is a poem that is also very true. The words make a person step back and look at themselves.

Yes, i know this poem is worth sharing to all and I have realized that I too should throw away the things that will hinder from moving on and growing maturely in the Lord. I have a lot of things to throw away that I have kept in my heart making it heavier to carry. I am now slowly identifyin gthose that I need to throw away.
Hope you have a nice day!

Yes its very true my friend. Soetimes its hard for us to let go of the past hurts coz we have treasured them in our hearts, allowing them to hurt us all the more. Lets be kind to our selves and set it free for it no longer have space in our hearts.
