What is the best way to color eggs

I am looking for the best way to color eggs for an Easter Egg hunt. I want the eggs to be bright, shinny, colorful and sparkly. Without using the good 'o PAAS Dye. I also don't want a BIG mess to clean up either. (haha)

Well I was going to suggest using the kits. I saw some great ideas at Walmart in the Easter aisle and wanted to pick up one. I saw sparkles, diamonds, tie die, pastels, stripes.. so on and so forth. I love doing eggs for Easter.
