Has clothes ever affect how you look at a person?

It definitely does for me, specially if it's a woman. There are times when they just wore jeans and casual clothes and felt that they're not that special... but suddenly they would just change their clothes to more attractive ones and I would react is this the same girl? haha...
Ones in High school, there's this girl who's really quiet... she's not something you would expect to wear heavy make ups or mini skirt... but she did that in college and my view on her really changed.

Shoot! Please forgive me! Yes! I try not to be judgmental. You never know what a person is like on the inside. Clothes are just to cover the outside shell of a person. But, yes! Clothes do shape my opinion of a person.
Particularly girls and women. If I see a high school girl walking to school in 3 inch stilettos and a mini-skirt that from top to bottom is 1 foot long, I can't help but think that she should be standing on a corner somewhere instead of headed to a school full of hormonal boys. And, not only do I judge her...I judger her parents! Why would you let your daughter walk out of the house looking like she sells something that was never meant to be sold?

It depends, because I don't really dress up when at home. But if I wanna go out or am out in the public, then I do my best to look appropriate and at least decent in the eyes of other people.
So if ever, I would also prefer to look at how people would dress up in public. It's a plus, on how they look, smell and even behave..

Hehehe, I have seen such girls before during my high school. They were those that really didn't wear anything fancy during school which doesn't make them noticeable but, when prom night came around, you definitely noticed them compared to those who always wear make-up at school.
I just then realized that, girls who always wear make-up look the same when it was prom night and those that were always taken for granted now had an advantage.
In college, though we wore the usual uniform, there were times when we see each other in casual wear, activities sometimes that are done outside the campus like film viewing in another campus.
I also got to notice how their choice in wearing clothes. My female classmates always wore what was necessary and not much. Then, they'd change into more attractive ones when the activity is over, knowing that some of them already had plans to go to malls afterwards.
So far, I have not seen those that seem to backfire. By that, them changing into clothes that seems to be too much or not suitable at all. They do know what to wear. Of course, its quite different for some people. Others look more attractive than others even if they wear the same clothing.

Hehe... yea, during prom night almost all of them looks the same, with their heavy make ups and fancy dress. However it doesn't necessarily mean they are beautiful for me...

Yes, I manage an accounting firm for a marketing company and I am always looking at how ones dressed especially when conducting interviews. Apperance is an important thing where I work and I want my employees looking their best on the job. I guess I am a bit uptight about it, I pay attention to minor details and if their is something about someone I just cannot get over I will point it out and possiably move on to th next canidate.

it depends if your a male of a female, in term of a male, it would not that really affect how i look when he change his clothes, because men are usually has less type of clothes to pick from, from pants to polo/long sleeves/shirt.
well for girls, that is a different story that we're talking, they have a wide variety of clothes from conservative to wild, and they have make-ups(while men don't)and vanity kits, it would really change the perception of a girl if she at first wear conservative type of dress then change to wild where she wear a very very short short pants(that her legs can be seen throughout) and wear sleeve less.
or imagine those very young days, in out gradeschool where girls wear just like men( shirt & jeans)and not concious on what they are wearing, but when we got to our teen(16 to 19) they wear a gorgeous dresses, wow! it really attracts me...

Well, I got to agree with you that females are more easier to change their image with their clothes, but sometimes a male could also have a major transformation... with today's clothes, male can now choose to wear fit, long sleeves, loose etc... and shorts now also have many designs.

yes. a person's way of dressing up kinda tells us what kind of a person she is, outgoing, conservative, bold, loud, and others.
when see a person dress so neatly, i think my thought of her is that she is an organized person, and wants to look presetable.
the way we dress sometimes give out what we have in mind tat day. from the color to its style.

hello devilhands!
how are you ? hope having a wonderful time here:)
well,It does actually :)
Especially for me,i know its bad to judge people by clothes but i dont know my perception changes for a person with his clothes and other accessories as well :)
I go for total presentation,if a person wears nice but simple clothes obviously i like the way he/she is .
I jusge people by the taste of their clothes, this shows how they are actualy.
If the clothes are neat, well pressed and one must know what suits them then obviously he/she will attract me.
See how will you about the inner of a person without talking to them and to talk initially you go for the way they are dressed up ,this shows up the whole personality :) and once you attarcted someone towards you then he/she will get to know the inner soul as well :)
I am very choosey about things, and wish to have lot of good clothes and shoes especially but dont have enough money to buy them :) and once i will be earningmy own money, i am going to waste it all on my accessories for sure :)
Take care !

yes,I hate to judge people by their out side appearance but I believe the way a person carries his/her self says a lot about the person. I know there are situations where a person might be going through financial difficulties and may not have the extra cash to spend on buying new clothes but, simple things as keeping their clothes clean and being well groomed would make any old clothes look good.

Definitely, but it doesn't have to be signatured items. As long as you look good and feel good in your clothes that is the most important. I remember buying mules for shoes, because most of my friends at school has it. It did not good look on me and I don't feel comfortable. I ended up wasting money. It also depends on how to carry yourself, even though it just plain jeans and shirt if you are presentable and confident, that will do.
