I don't agree and I don't disagree.
The Buddha has taught that there are three roots of evil: greed, hatred and delusion. It makes sense.

I disagree.. Fear can be the leading cause of all evil as it leads to racist people, hate, deaths, and other evil things but it is not the root of all evil, and money isnt either. It's the Love and Need of Money that is the root of all evil!

Money is the greatest evil that runs into the heads of those have it and those who dont have it, driving them to do unimagineable things-recently a witch doctor persuaded a man in my city to cut off the head of his own son in my city, promising him riches if he did that-cutting of a head of a human being is evil enough but cutting off the head of your own child is terribly evil, and money can make a man do that willingly!

Hi there... I disagree, money is not the root of all evil, nor is fear... I think its people and thier love of money, the lengths one would go to have it, and how discplined one is towards money... Money is a commodity if we didnt have money, then people would go to all measures to get there hands on the next best commodity, thats when evil is committed... My views anyway... Have a great day...

Correctly to see, Money it is not the one thing caused evil.because, the evil comes from so many things-fear,hanger,poverty,disease..etc. but i do believe that money is the majoy root of all evil.people who stolen because he want become more richer in a faster way(it happened by money, poeple never tired to compares his feature with others'.the mostly way they using is that to count how much money do the people really have).

Actually, the quote from the Bible is, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil."
I take this to mean that the love of money (the root)leads us into other evils, such as cheating and lying. Some people will even kill for money. So to me, that's what it means. What do you think?

I disagree that fear is the root of all evil. In fact, I also disagree that money is the root of all evil. Killing someone is considered evil, but does fear always lead to killing? I think not. So it is not the root of all evil. Besides, good things can stem out of fear, such as courage. Money, on the other hand, is also not the root of all evil because we need money to do many things in our daily lives. If money is the root of all evil, we shouldn't be touching money at all. The greed for money is the root of most evil, but certainly not all; this is because some evil can begin from fear (as mentioned earlier), hate, anger etc. Therefore, my conclusion is that the root of all evil cannot be pinpoint onto one certain thing; evil is caused by a myriad of things.
