Do you know all the features available on your tv remote?

I've had my directv for a couple of months and don't know half of what I'm capable of doing with it! There are so many buttons with words, arrows and colors that it overwhelms me when I look at them 
. I know I haven't used everything I'm paying for and keep saying I'm going to read the guide (as huge as it is!) to see what I'm missing.
Do you use all the functions on your tv remote? Do you understand the whole thing or do you guess at some of them? Have you read the manual that comes with it?

No...I don't use all the functions. No I do not understand it at all. No I have not read the manual that came with it. I am a remote control idiot! Ha...I drive my husband nuts because there are only a few buttons I know how to use. I just yell for him when I can't figure something out. What makes it hard is we have like 4 remotes, one for the tv, one for the dish, one for the dvd player and one for the sound system. I cannot operate any of them. Plus I think they make the buttons too small and I hate symbols on them because I don't know what they mean. I want just ONE simple remote with BIG buttons that operates everything.

lol...I've had my directv for over 6 months now and still can't figure it out. yes, big buttons would be great!
