Why can't we be on here and post real discussions? Yes I know, people will post things no matter what I say and its a site that really doesn't care what people post I guess?
But who cares what color socks you wore today or how many times you brush your teeth. Seriously, can't we be a bit more intelligent and talk about things that aren't so stupid!?

Hi Beccarose,
I love your name by the way. My niece is named Becca too. After being on MyLot for awhile, I've come to the conclusion that most people prefer the lighter side of life for their discussions.
I've participated in the more complex conversations and sometimes if you give strong opinions, they don't set too well with some of the others. I'm not talking about being rude or insulting, just taking a stand on a subject that may be the opposite viewpoint of the original poster. I really don't want to upset anybody, so I'm trying to only post to the non-controversial subject matter.

My friend, I read and post on the discussions here and I know where you're coming from. I really do. Some posts are truly disappointing. And I guess, not everybody may not even be aware which is intelligent and which is not. Some may just know discussions are discussions and in their opinion, they really use their mind whenever they post their question. We were endowed with different levels of intelligence. Sometimes, even knowleadgeable people may run out of topics to discuss and they turn to silly or very shallow stuffs so they will not miss posting within the day.

Sometimes I answer those type of questions just because I'm bored. Who knows if those discussions will be counted toward our payouts when the time comes. I doubt it. I think people run out of ideas for discussions. But they like the socialization here so they will post anything just to feel connected. Of course, there are those who post just for the money. But, yeah - just ignore those discussions if they upset you so much.

i agree totally! but you can discuss intelligent subjects. sadly, as they are so subjective, someone will disagree and complain and the discussion will be deleted!
my sock are black , by the way.
