Is Martial Art efficient in Street?

Please pass ur opinion whether martial art is efficient in street fighting?If u can then add ur experience too...

I've never had to defend myself but once, and it was a very minor thing, but I know that if things escalated, my practice and discipline would pay off for me, I've gotten to the point where most things that would be scary for me before studying kungfu, are not so scary anymore, even little things, like ordering pizza ^.^ Lol

my uncle had a black belt in Kung Fu =) but you watch out for that pizza man..even the most dangerous martial art in the world cant stand up to his cheesy power :shifty eyes:

im not sure right now. im white belt in tae kwon do. what iv learnt so far, requires the attacker to be in certain positions for it to work. but mabey as i move up in belts i'll be able to do other stuff.

Matial art is from the battlefield, combat is the terminal aim. sound aproach and enough exercise will make u efficient in street
