Even if they are too small to be read to I always get new babies a book. The same book. Peter in Blueberryland, by Elsa Beskow. I got that book on the day I was born and it has always been one of my favorits. I'd like to share the joy of reading with the new ones as well

For someone who is expecting, I would get them diapers, wipes, clothes, bottles, crib sheets, all in boy patterns of course. Things that are cute like toys and things of that sort are cute but will get lost along the way. Things that are needed are always best to get someone who is expecting. I would get one thing needed, and a cute outfit or something so they appreciate the thought and effort! Good luck!

Well Miss Lindsey, I wanted to make a Diaper Cake.. Ever heard of that? its something creative that you can put things that are needed into it.
Although I wanted to make one for a friend, I didnt want to spend $50 on diapers if the baby was allergic to them, so I did the cake in a different way.
I bought her a storage shelf, that was the base of the cake because it was in a rectangle box. then I wrapped it up and what not and then I took baby blankets and wrapped them in like a twirl shape, haha, and I put lotions and bottles in the middle. then to make the topper, i put a hat over top of the lotions since they were the highest and the point of the cake. - then I wrapped it all up with ribbons and hung little things off of it like baby clothes, bibs and a little pooh bear. You can do rattles and binkies and whatever else you can think of.
I just like creating my own thing instead of just buying for someone.. makes it more interesting :)
