I envy so much you can do the online grocery shopping over at your side. I think it is still a dream over here at my place. It's really a very convenient service for all of us. It could save us time and all the hassle. We can get what we need while staying in the comfort of our home. We can forget about the trouble of waiting in long queue and finding the car park & etc. Hope you can make use of such convenient service and enjoy it.

I am living in Malaysia. It's south of Thailand and North of Singapore. (Not sure you know about it :) Malaysia is a developing country and thus online shopping is still very uncommon over here. People like me (who like to stay at home and expecting the goods to be delivered to my door step) is still very few. Might due to mind set and culture as well. LoL.

I have never done it, can't say that I will either. I like going to the grocery store and selecting what I want and being able to see how the boxes, cans, etc are.
I don't like dented or beat up stuff.

I have purchased a few food items on line - to include omaha steaks and I have also ordered pizza hut via the internet once - (but the store was local, and I went and picked it up)
I do not think I understand online grocery shopping and how it works - but I am pretty sure I would prefer to be in the store in person - having a hands on approach to compare prices, ingredients and nutritional labels.

Hi there... I have often wondered about grocery shopping online, wether it would get delivered or what... I dont think I would be into that kind of thing, as I have a vehicle, and a perfect pair of legs as well... But good for you...

I did it for the winter a couple of years ago. My spouse was home with a back injury so I was caring for him and working full time. I ordered all my groceries that winter and it was great! It was so nice to have them bring all my stuff right to the door and set the bags in the kitchen. The quality of the things they brought was great and the price wasn't really any higher than what I'd have paid at the grocery store. Plus I didn't have to push a loaded grocery cart across a snowy parking lot!

Is that actually worth it? The many sites i'v tried either have cost more than at the grocery store or they were complicated to order off of. but if it works for you than good luck to ya

It's ok if you don't have a car or can't get out much, but to be honest I much prefer to pick the shopping myself, for example when it comes to fruit I like to make sure that fruit is not damaged and I will pick the best fruit on the shelves. I like to see the bargains and the offers when I go round the shop and I like to chat to the ladies on the till, it's a personal thing I guess. Food and clothes are the only things I won't buy online.

I have ordered food online. Its great when I'm to sick to shop, but everyone else wants to eat. Also ordered food last year when my husband was coming home from the hospital, as he was suppose to stay in bed. This meant no time for grocery shopping.

I personally think it is a bad idea! It's another way for humans to be lazy and an excuse not to have to leave the house and get fresh air, exercise and socialize with real people!

I'm sure it's a good thing for those who ca't carry heavy shopping or who haven't got transport, but it's not for me.
I tried it once, and I got so fed up with the website & trying to order what I wanted that I nearly chucked the machine out of the window! I appreciate that you'd get quicker as you did it more often, but really! I'd have been quicker to drive there & back!
My other problem is that I often don't know what I want till I get there. So if I had to order my shopping online I'd probably just order the three things I could remember & have no food all week. Without seeing things to inspire me to buy them, I think I'd starve!
And last but not least, I like to take advantage of bargains. And you only see those mark downs in the store.
Maybe what would work for me would be a one off online bulk shop of all my regular tins & heavy stuff which would be delivered, then I could do the rest of it in the supermarket myself. It's a thought ...

OMG that is one of the things I miss most about Massachusetts!!! I moved to Missouri, up in the mountains.. and I have to drive 20 something miles to go grocery shopping. I used to just head to the website and place my order.. then answer the door when they showed up and that was it, aside from putting them away. If we had lived closer to Boston, we could even have had our laundry done thru and online service!!! It was great... we could spend our days off relaxing instead of dashing off to the grocery store... ;sigh;

It is good...people tend to think that you miss out on the bargains by shopping for food on the internet...but you dont!!!all of the buy one get one frees are still there...and this week the supermarket didnt have the cheese i wanted...so they sent me 2 blocks of another type...two instead of one!!!!
I think its a wonderful idea....
