angels spring training in tempe was great!!!!!

Hey all- Have you ever gone to the Spring Training games at Diablo Stadium in Tempe AZ?. Wow what a great place. I was on the Angels website and saw Spring Training Packages and thought I would check in to it. It was great. We live in So. Calif and it's only about a 5 hour drive for us so no airfare was needed. But for 2 nights stay at the "Arizona Grand Resort", 2 games, and a souvenier box it was $2200. Game 1 was the Angels and Diamond Backs then we went to the Cubs stadium in Mesa (about 20 mins away) on Sunday and saw the Angels and Cubs. Great seats, great food, great accommodations. I highly recommend the Arizona Grand. The water park for the kids was wonderful. They have a 12 story slide, a circle slide, a wave pool, 2 jacuzzi's, and a slumber river where you sit or lay on a tube and float liesurely through the park with palms and misters etc. There is a bar there with everything from Beer and mixed drinks, to soda's and juice. They have 4 restaurants on the property by which they are happy to shuttle you to. I DO NOT recommend "Rustlers Roost" unless your in to sawdust floors, loud music and mediocre food. Spring training USA sent us prior to our departure a great big box of Angels gear. 5 T-shirts that say 2008 SPring Training, 5 pins (same logo), 5 Baseballs for Autographs, 5 Hats, and 5 great Backpacks. THe boys (my two Grandson's 11 & 7) had a wonderful time getting those autographs. It also included a private BBQ on the Press deck of Angels Diamblo stadium following Saturdays' game. The food was really upscale and great desserts. THey served wine and soda. 2 Players and Mickey Hatcher came up and talked to everyone and took questions. They signed autographs and shook hands with all the kids and the parents. For a special gift for a big ball fans I highly recommend checking into a package that works for your budget and enthusiam. It was a great weekend!!!Have you ever been? what was your experience.?
