Has the stomach flu hit your area?

Here in (at least Northwest Ohio) the stomach flu has hit with a vengence.
On Monday all I did was sleep and vomit and vomit and sleep. Oh, and a fever of 102.
Tuesday was sleep, vomit and diarrhea.
Wednesday was Emegency Room at the hospital day. I was severely dehydrayted. I was gaggy and all that would come up was a foamy substance. EWWWW
The hospital was full to it's fullest and there was a waiting list to get into the ER.
Lot's of sick people. They pumped me with fluids for 4 hours and did all kinds of tests. Then come up with the conclusion that I had a severe case of the stomach flu. (Hmmmmm)
Has this terrible stomach flu hit you area yet? I hope not and if it did I pray that it missed you and yours. I am much better now, I just cannot sleep. LOL

Shaunee, I "am" feeling so much better. I'll bet when I finally wake up in the morning it will be most of the way gone.

The flu has hit our area, everone has a diffrent stain of it. My daughter was out of work due to the flu. She contracted it working in her nursing home. They had to shut down her unit. Right now around here , you can't even get into your own Doctor's office, you have to go to the on- call places. I blame it all on this odd weather we have had.

I am in Northern OH, so far we have not had that. We have had the upper respitory flu 3 times since Christmas. I hope we can all stay well now.

I think I would rather have the stomach flu. Respitory flu is rough.

I think it did a couple of weeks back. Everyone I knew was sick within two days of each other. I got it first, then my assistant, then her girlfriend, then several friends of mine and workers got it as well. Thankfully, the flu has moved on.

So far so good around here (knock on wood). That particular flu hasn't hit here, but the other kind has. The kind with the extremely sore throat, fever, chills, lots of coughing, etc. My daughter is just getting over it, and the poor thing has almost no voice whatsoever. And I'm such the mean mom....I've been teasing her about it too. She'll get me back for it though. I'm so sorry you've been feeling so lousy hon. I'm glad you're getting better though. I just hope that if the stomach flu hits here, everyone stays away from me.

It was here (Orlando) about 6 weeks ago. What was told on the news is the flu shots were actually causing the flu... there are different strands or something and the more people getting shots the more people that were getting sick.
Talk about wanting to get your money back.

I got my flu shot back in October. Would it have taken that long? I do know that I never want to feel that way again. It was horrid!

I still feel okay...I am so scared that I picked up the bug at mom's. I guess if she gets sick, I'll be next.
