Does it motivate you to answer in a discussion if the creator replies?

Guys, I just want to know if a discussion creator who replies to everybody under his/her discussion motivates you to post a comment if you haven't yet. I for one would also love to post in a discussion where the creator answers very well in each comments under his/her discussion. Not just "thank you for your response" or something... I would also love to do those things in my discussion... but it's getting tougher and tougher to do.

For me, it is more about the topic. I the topic is something that I have something to add to, then that will cinch me. But, that being said, I prefer someone to respond back to my response. It makes me feel appreciated. I put a lot of time and effort into 99% of my responses to other's discussions and, I expect the same from them in a form of a response back to my response. I understand that some responses may fly under the radar or, may not really warrant a response. But, if there is a poster who regularly just starts discussions to collect responses, that bothers me and I will stop responding to their discussions. Why bother? I can't be sure that they have even bothered to read my response so, why should I bother to tell him or her what I think if it is going to fall on blind eyes?

Thank you for the best response! And this is why I think about my responses! I always hope that what I have to say is appreciated! Thank you for appreciating me and Thank you for showing me your appreciation!

I know I like when they reply. But sometimes I've noticed that someone doesnt read what I put in a discussion question and just answers whatever-I just put thank you. Im not being rude but I am showing I did read what they put.

Well if its not part of the discussion it is hard to answer them. When you post a subject would you rather someone talked about the subject or just something off the wall?

I see, it is easier to just put thank you rather than somehow replying to it, but sometimes their post tend to be final or somehow you can't reply to them anymore so saying thank you is just the best thing you could do.

It depends on what type of reply the creator does. If I feel that I can continue then I will continue on responding to that discussion as it will help me earn more. It is getting harder and harder to respond to the topics here.

Uh... Mr/Ms Jerry, you must have misunderstood my topic haha... I am not asking if how many response you can do or what motivates you to continue responding. What I am asking is if you are interested to post in a discussion if you see that the creator of that topic responds to each and every comment under his/her discussion. :D

My motivation comes from the discussion itself. If I have nothing to add then I will read it and move on. If I can share something, I will comment. That being said, it is always nice to receive a response back to something I wrote. I do my best to keep up with comments on my own discussions. I have a 22 month old daughter who doesn't leave me with too much time. This is why I choose to start very few discussions of my own. I want to be able to give the people who responded the time and attention back that they gave me.

hi devilhands.i personally always respond to people who respond to my posts,as i find that it is a great way of having a real good chat and to say thankyou for making an effort to reply.it motivates me more when i respond to a post and they reply.i really don't like it when people just post and do not reply back to you,it makes me want to avoid their discussions entirely.i suppose i am not here for the money, more for the good old chat.cheers sue

Yup, it does feel good when they reply back to you on your discussion. It kinda makes it feel like they are sincere on what they said rather than just making a post to increase their post count.

By participating in the discussions,if our views are responsed by the creater, will naturally motivate us for active participation in more discussions. I agree with your view that mere " Thanks" will have less motivation.

Hehe... but I have to make a confession though... sometimes I do those things in my discussion when I really really ran out of things to say.

It sure is atif... it sure is... It just goes to show that a creator is actually reading the comments they have made.

I am one who Loves to go back into the discussions that I have started and respond back to them, and see what others have put there, and feel about in the things I care about. I am one who also Loves to go in and check out the discussions of the one responding to any of mine, and respond in one of theirs as well if I can. I feel we can learn a lot from others when we start New discussions if we take the time to go in and read and respond back on how others percieve the natural things of life.

I agree KrauseHome, I do also love to read everything who have responded to my discussion. In order to make it seem like someone has actually read their comment though... I try to put a reply under each of their comments. :D

Basically, I think its like a physical discussion. Imagine while among your friends, one of you started a discussion and why everybody were making positively contributions to the discussion, the particular person that started the discussion just kept mute totally without any comment. And maybe he/she has done such more than once, i believe with time most you friends will become uninterested whenever he/she start a discussion. Anyway that not the same here on mylot since everybody earn some money when they respond to a discussion, so many don't even mind either the creator respond to their comment or not. Personally, I'm motivated when the creator of a discussion respond to comment under his/her discussion, even if its not own comment.

Yea, so many creators don't even bother responding to any of their discussion. They could start like 7 discussions in 2 min, and I am guessing they're not even sincere to get the opinions of the people here.
