Thinking about starting into Medical Transcription! HELP!

I just wanted to hear from some of you that have decided to go back to school for training in a completely new area. I am trying to decide on schooling for medical transcription or med coding to do at home. I thought there might be some experienced or just encouraging thoughts out there. After just getting through a long and lengthy divorce and now supporting my self, encouraging is always a good thing. THANKS!!!!!!!!!
