In all my time here I have had only one discussion deleted and I know it was because I forgot to include a link but I was just looking for a discussion I did yesterday wondering where some of my friends are since they seem to be among the missing. I know the guidelines say not to mention names in discussions and I didn't. It was very generic and I asked if others experienced the same thing. The discussion has been deleted and I can't figure out why! I don't know if any of my friends responded to it or not!
So, I'll ask you here.... Have you ever wondered where your mylot friends disappeared to? Unless they specifically post that they will be away for a time do you pm them or email them if you can?

I must of missed that discussion yesterday ctry. I think a few of my friends actually say when they are going to be offline. There are a few that I have wondered about but never felt to ask. I just assumed their lives got busy so they don't have time to come onto mylot. It's good to see some of them come back though!

I'm sure they are either taking a "rest" from mylot or are busy with Easter coming. I am seeing some of them come back and am happy to see them too.

Frankly, I'm disappointed with a number of things--the cowardice of most of our culture, the fascism of our legal systems, and how so many websites kowtow and acquiesce to this censorship--why can't there be a mylot, a yuwie, a myspace, a something with something that actually resembles freedom of speech?

I have several friends here that seem to be MIA lately. I check their profiles and they show that it's been several months since they last logged on. And yes, I do PM them to see if I can get a response from them that way. But I can't bring myself to take them off my friends list in hopes that one day out of the blue they will show up and say 'hi'. I'm sorry your discussion got deleted hon. Hugs to you.

Well this time it didn't get deleted so that's good. I don't understand lately, why so many discussions are being deleted when they seem to be fine and not breaking any rules or guidelines. I just don't get it.
But anyways, to answer your question, no I don't send my friends a pm or an email when I don't see them around for awhile. To be totally honest there are only a few friends here that I even notice when they aren't active, and you are one of them. I would miss you not being here, if you were gone for awhile. But most of them I don't miss or realize they have been gone.
I am moving on Sunday and I may be away for awhile, I'm not sure yet if I will have access to a computer for a little whike, so I am telling you this incase you miss me being around for a week or two. I will be back though, as soon as I can be.

Well, I guess the rest are just around and reading and responding from time to time. Though I have not posted much, I could see and read that some of my friends are not posting also. Just give it time. They are just around. Some of them could be busy on other activities or some surfing. But I'm sure they are just there... just like me.

I've been here for a short time but I usually check my friends discussions they started and see how long ago they started it. If they haven't been posting to my discussions or posting new discussions then I just figure they're busy working or something's going on in their life. I would check their discussions every time I log on and give them 1 year to be active again. After 1 year of being inactive then I would delete them from my friend list. It took me 7 months to start posting regularly after joining mylot. I wouldn't email them about it. I figure they have a good reason and life goes on. Sometimes I disappear for awhile too. A few days out of the week I work so I don't post on those days, I'm too tired.
