Right now I'm in the battle of going to college or trying to find my way through the maze to get a good paying job without a degree.
Training is fine, but college takes years when I need to get a job now.
Are there any good paying jobs that I could get without a degree?

Do you have any particular interest or goal of what you would really like to do with your life? If you do, sometimes certain employers will actually pay for you to take college classes while you are working for them. Other fields offer apprentice programs.
If you have a special skill and would like to start your own business, that's also an option. It takes a lot of hard work, but the rewards can be great. Plus you would be working for yourself.
The job market is really unsteady in certain areas of the country right now, but it won't last like that forever. You are young and can be flexible. Whether you work for yourself or someone else, you can turn around next year and do something else if you want.
My nephew has worked many different jobs and has been trained in many occupations.
Right now he has a career that he loves, but it has been through trial and error.
He has worked in restaurants, has a real estate license and does bartending on the side. He always has about three different things going at the same time. Then he found a position with one of the cell phone companies that he loves and wants to make that his career. The point of this little story is that he kept searching until he found exactly what he wanted to do. Now he's in his mid 20's and has a very bright future ahead of him.
I wish you all the success in the world. Follow your dreams, get whatever training is available to you and find your own way. Don't let others push you in one direction or another. You have a lot of years ahead of you to work, so you have to make up your own mind and follow your heart.

It depends on what field you wish to work in, what other skills you have etc. Also if you choose not to go to college this year, that doesn't mean you can't go next year. If you're in a position where you can't afford to go to college now, why not put it off for a year and see what's available to you without a college degree?

There are good paying jobs that you can get without a degree, but they may not be the job that you want. Call centers pay around $11.00 an hour put you have to deal with rude customers and a schedule that is always changing. You could also work at a restuarant or retail store and work your way up the ladder to manager, but they may take a while to get to the top and jobs like this also have a lot to do eith customer service. Best of luck to you in whatever you do!

You might want to try medical transcription. It's lucrative and you don't have to leave home since most companies are now seeing the practicality of telecommuting. Once you become a trained medical transcriptionist, the work opportunity is going to be unlimited.
