Which movies based on true stories are your favourites?

The only one that I can think of that I have seen is Freedom Writers. I thought it was brilliant and at some points really made me almost cry. Its about how an English teacher in an American school manages to stop her class from hating each other and shooting each other just because of their race and stuff like that. I really recommend it. Please could you recommend some of the greats?

Hi there thoseappleslooknice! I love Freedom Writers too. I like another tru-to-life movie but I don't know the title since I only watched it in cable tv and I wasn't able to catch the title. It's about parents who were sent into jail because of fabricated stories taught to their children.

I actually forgot what Freedom Writers was called and researched before creating this discussion lol. I might buy it on DVD sometime soon as it really was great.
