My cousin got a note send home to her parents about dating. The school always have alot of trips and adventure learning programs so they over looked the note and said she can go.It cost them $200. dollars for her evening dress and $60.dollars for the meal. The teacher even told them what colour to wear for their dates!! What do you think??

How old is your cousin? I would not be happy about the school teaching my child about dating. I have a hard enough time trying to keep her from wanting to date as it is. She is only 14 though. It is very important that parents read everything that their kids bring home from school. I can not believe that the school is offering a dating class.

17 is old enough to date and the way you explained it I can kind of see where it could help young people make smarter choices. Just surprised it was so expensive for it not even being related to prom. I do agree with you I think it is something that could and should be taught at home. My mom did not teach me what to expect when dating though and honestly until I met my husband I had never really been on a real date. Thank you for posting this topic for it gives me some food for thought on making sure I do teach my daughter what to expect and how to act on a date.

hoho~~~ quite interesting. I don't think it a right to hold that lesson by the school. From your description, it sounds like a formal social occasion. School guys will get involved in this kind of activity after they step into sociaty. So I would say that school just "educated" the right thing at the wrong time.
