What song are you tired of hearing on the radio?

We all have songs that we could be all too happy never to have to hear again because we are tired of hearing them as they are overplayed on the radio.
For me it would Alicia Keys No One or whatever it is called.
Anything by Justin Timberlake whether it is something he sung by himself of he sung with others.
Gwen Stefani...same as with Justin Timberlake. Although, I liked her first No Doubt stuff.
Timbaland.
Jordan Sparks
Rob Thomas
And, that is just to name a few that I can remember right now.
What are yours? Who do you roll your eyes at as soon as a song of theirs comes on the radio as you have probably heard it at least once every hour and, sometimes if you are station surfing, it is on like 3 out of 6 of your presets in your car?

Although I went through a phase where I listened to a lot of Rolling Stones music, for the most part, I can't stand hearing their songs on the radio, with the exception of "Sympathy for the Devil".. .I have a soft spot for that song.
Back in the 80's, two different songs that I found were severely overplayed, and still make me cringe to this day are Katrina and the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine" and Stevie Wonder's "I just called to say I love you".
The song I've recently heard too many times is "Weighty Ghost" by Wintersleep. Although I sometimes sing along, I'm more likely to turn off the radio if I can't find something to do to tune it out of my head until the next song comes on.

Oh no! LOL! Don't hate me! I have "Walking on Sunshine" on my iPod! It is one of my favorite songs. Partly because it brings up fond memories from about 12 or 13 years ago! LOL! I just can't help myself! I love that song! But, yes..."I just called to say I love you" was overplayed. LOL!
I don't think I know of Wintersleep.
But, since you are from Canada, I have a question. Do you like Lowest of the Low? My favorite song...or, at least one of them is Subversives. I think it is one of the most romantic love songs ever. I also love "Breath a Little While".
Anyway, you may or may not like them. I was just curious!

I don't recognize that band name at all. I'm currently listening to hard rock, metal, and punk. So unless they're part of that genre, or from the 80's (I'm a total 80's music geek!), then I wouldn't know their stuff.

I'll still keep you on my friends list, even though Walking on Sunshine is one of your favourite songs.

So I'm sick of everyone you named, as well as Sean Kingston or whatever his name is. Okay, she's beautiful, it won't work. Yeah, okay. Got it. Okay, you'll take her to the ghetto because that's appealing for some reason, okay... I don't know why you're bothering, you know it won't work. (As stated above.) Regardless of the artist's bad memory, you don't need to play the song every ten minutes to prove it to -me-, mr. radio station.
Oh, and that song 'Lo' by Flo(w?) Rida(?) & T Pain. (Clearly I'm not up with the times)
I'm also sick of hearing Taylor Swift's 'Teardrops on my Guitar.' I really liked it at first because it seemed really sweet and genuine, but I can only appreciate that the first 5,000,000 times I hear it played. Now it's just annoying.

"Keeps me wishing on a wishing star". Ummm...please explain to me the difference between a wishing star and a non-wishing star! LOL! I too hate that song by Taylor Swift! I never liked it! I just kept wanting to know who the heck Drew was and why I should care about him. LOL!

Haha! That was the best thing I've ever heard Cortjo! Who is Drew and why dosen't anyone who interviews Taylor Swift ask her? There again, why dosent anyone tell her to stop singing that song?! ;)

I am sooo tired of this local celeb's song - he is not really a singer, he hosts a noon time show and has made several songs. it is played everyday in his show (his songs, i mean) and i still hear them on radio when i ride the bus going to work!
It is so irritating.. his voice is not really well. he is like one of those they gave microphones to and then alright.. sing!
haha

I love JT…. I don’t know why—my daughter always laughs when he comes on--- Mom—it’s JT… I also love Jordan Sparks new songs… They are catchy.
Let’s see for me- it would have to be …. I’m having a hard time coming up with anything. When I get sick of a song- I switch the channel. I think a lot of the stations in this area are playing Taylor Swift now—but I love her. (Blame it on my daughter- she has me hooked). So I really can’t think of anyone.

LOL! That's ok KrisNY! I won't hold it against you! We all have our guilty pleasure! LOL! Mine is a lot of bad music from the 80's. I will rock out to Wham! and George Michaels on my iPod when I am cleaning the house on Sunday's and, my hubby married me anyway! LOL!
We'll just keep this stuff our dirty little secrets!
Oh, and I have to actually give you props for not having any songs you are sick of. That is impressive! I have so many that sometimes I sound like a cranky beyatch if one comes on, I roll my eyes, and make some snide comment about the stupidity of the song! LOL! I can be brutal! LOL!

To tell you the truth, I don't listen to the radio often enough to get tired of the songs that are playing. I only ever listen to the radio on my 15 minute ride to and from work, and when I go to the store. Rides to the store only last anywhere from 2-10 minutes around here, so I don't really get to listen to a lot of stuff. I don't use my IPod, because my boyfriend always brings it to work with him, and my sister has the computer with all the music on it, so I don't listen to that one either. I was going to start listening to an online radio, that pays you to listen, but I have been too busy loving my new premium movie channels On Demand.
My boyfriend get's frusterated with me in the car, because a song will come on that I like and I want to listen to it. It just so happens that, apparently they play that song ALL the time and he's just sick and tired of it. Oh well, maybe if he let me use my OWN Ipod then I would be able to listen to stuff and get bored with it, but until then, he has to SUFFER. lol.

Time to take back what is yours and get that iPod back in the ears of whom it belongs to! LOL! Tell him to buy his own dang iPod. I got my hubby his as a gift and he got me mine as a gift.
LOL! But, you are right. Until he gives it back, he is just going to have to deal with you singing to, and listening to, the older overplayed songs in the car! LOL!

I have never listened to that song the whole way through. I have liked snoop in the past...not enough to buy an album...but enough to give him a listen when his old stuff hit the airwaves. But, nothing about that song the first couple times I caught it on the radio prompted me to stay on the station for longer than a few seconds and give it my full attention. So, I can't say that I blame you!

"We're not gonna take it" springs to mind by Twisted Sister. I hated that song, and that band when it first came, yet they still play it on occasion on the local rock stations. Don't they understand I used to beat up people who listed to twisted sister and toss them an Iron Maiden Cassette instead...

I love Alicia Keys but sweet heaven, Im so sick of hearing "No One". Its probably not entirely her fault but these cheesy radio stations and their constant rotation. And theres Flo-Rida (seriously he couldn't think of a unique name besides renaming a state?). I hate his song "Low" because it has been played out. Okay we get it, the girl has apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur, the whole club looking at her when she hits the floor she gets low low low low low low low. I had to tune out Justin Timberlake(love him) for a month or two. I was just getting tired of hearing anything from him. It was too much. He had like 10 songs out at the same time in heavy rotation. Then theres Jordin Sparks. Wow, can the girl come out with something else. Her single, "Tattoo" is starting to wear on me.
Somebody needs to talk to these radio stations to go easy on the airplays. Because after a while, we don't want to hear the same song every hour.

So, here I am at work and I have my radio on and they played Alicia Keys, followed by Gwen Stefani, followed by Justin Timberlake, followed by Jordan Sparks! LOL! I nearly ripped my hair out! LOL!
One day...and actually more than once, the station was in their switch time from one dj to the next and, in that hour, they played 4 Justin Timberlake songs and one of them twice. So, between 2 to 3 that is when they changed their dj shifts and did that. I was thisclose to calling them and complaining. They have a set list so, all the replacement dj had to do was look at the set list sheet and see that the previous dj had already played that one song way less than an hour ago and, not play it! Ugh! It is bad enough how very much I hate JT. But, to have to hear 4 of his songs in one hour! Really? Is that necessary? LOL!

My vote would currently go for Soulja Boy. If I have to hear or watch or imagine the Soulja boy song, I'm gonna go mad! I agree with Justin Timbelake dude, he's not my favorite singer/person. Alicia Keys is ok my 3 year old nephew does sing the No One song. It's better than when Keys sings it!

LOL! Oh geez! I forgot about the Soulja Boy song. I thought I was the only one who didn't like that song. I never liked it! EVER! Not for even a milisecond! LOL!
I am so tired of Justin Timberlake and the idea that he is like a God that rules the music scene and is about to take over the acting scene. Give me a break! Ugh! What is so special about him? He isn't hot. His music isn't that great! Nothing even really all that new about it. But, I guess there are way more people who like him so, I am outnumbered by too big of a margin to keep my butt from getting a lashing! LOL!
I wish I could hear your nephew do "No One" better than Alicia! LOL!
