Buying for Other People

Do you every get the feeling that you want to buy things for other people?
I love to buy things for family and friends... even people I don't like! I just love to go through stores and browse for ages and pick out what will be a good gift for them. I also like making stuff for other people, so I can't wait until I have financial freedom. Also, when I have children of my own, I want to make them beautiful easter baskets with hand-made gifts, and chocolate bunnies, and stickers, and gel pens and toys =p
Hehe, that may be the only reason I have kids! To test out my crafts on people who can't tell that they're rubbish and to spoil somebody =]
I think everybody needs to have somebody to LOVE, not just TO BE LOVED! =]]
Hmmm... Maybe it is just my personal excuse to spend money Px
Today I went shopping for myself, and with some money left over, I wanted to buy my two brothers a mini thorntons truffle/edd thing each... plus 2 for my parents, as 4 are for only £2.
However, I could not for the life of me find thorntons! I looked around for AGES! In the end I went to poundland and found a 3-pack of mars eggs for £1 and bought it ^^
I had one myself, and I have the other two hidden in my room.
Another example is when I thought of the idea to get my aunt some roses, just to cheer her up. So I walked up to the shop and got some beautiful peachy roses =]
I love to do little things like that... I hope it'll make the recipient smile! ^^
Okay, RANT OVER!
Discuss...
- Do you like buying for others?
(if yes, why)
- Do you like making stuff for others?
(if yes, do you have a craft website/ shop i can check out?)
- If you're in the UK, have you too had trouble finding any proper eggs, the regular size, in shops like poundland? In fact, all over? Last year, there were so many on sale for atleast a month before easter!
Anyway, HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY AT MYLOT!

i love the feeling of buying gifts for other people. it feels like christmas all year round.. but sometimes i also feel i want to be a personal shopper (kind-of).. 'cause i like the feeling of spending money and shopping for weird/not-so-common stuffs that i might never use but others might. not using my own cash can be the bonus part of it all.

hehe, I know what you mean ^^
I love to go out and try and buy a bunch of matching, cute stuff- bath stuff, soaps, makeup, sweets with a theme, all in purple, and then put it all together for somebody for as cheap as possible =D

If there's anyone I love shopping for more than myself it is for my sons, I love taking them out shopping for new clothes and books and other things. It is fun to get to spend some quality time with them outside of the home and to see how happy and appriciative they are for the new things I get them.

I think I get more joy out of buying for other people than I do for myself, theres more satisfaction as I really have everything I need, I should really be getting rid of stuff rather than buying more, but to buy for others is fun..Happy Easter to you and everyone else at Mylot too...

Maybe try selling stuff at a car boot sale or garage sale?
Happy Easter to you too!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to buy for others. When it comes to christmas and birthdays I always go all out. Its ridiculos how much money I spend on other people. I'm not too bad when it comes to myself either though... :] I dont know why, but I just go crazy. Ezpecially when I know that one of the people i'm shopping for isn't that well set financially. They could be better off than myself and I would still go crazy shopping for them. My mom has to set limits for myself sometimes because if someone didnt, I would probably spend all of my money. lol
As far as making gifts, i'm not too good at the creative/artistic thing. The artsiest thing I can do is scrapbooking which I LOVEE. I have made some scrapbooks for friends weddings and such and I just love it. :]

I love scrapbooking too =D
I like to buy random things for people who I know won't get any other gifts...
On mothers day I got my mum chocolates and made her a card but I also got my aunt, who can't have kids nor can afford to, a smaller box of lindt chocolates
