Absolutely... What a lot of people like you don't seem to realize is that we have been at war with Iraq since Bush Sr., and that Clinton continued that war and made it Us policy to remove Saddam with the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998.
The Bush Administration is merely a continuation of the Clinton Administration with two differences... Bush cut taxes by 1.3 trillion and created a new 10% tax bracket for the poorest tax payers.... and he escalated the bombing campaign against Iraq into a full blown invasion.
As to the economy... well guess what... that is what happens when fuel prices rise as high as they are now and people can't make their mortgage payments.
Since so many lenders were doing sub-prime loans, a lot of those mortgages were just a bad debt waiting to happen.
They were issuing loans to people that were not qualified to get them.
Why do you think there are now some many investigations involving these lenders right now?
Then you tie that into speculative investments, and you have an economy that is getting into trouble.
Considering the fact that the democrats are wanting to now increase taxes by 3.5 trillion... then you add into that the fact that the Leiberman-Warner Global Warming Bill is going to cost us another estimated 6.9 gross domestic product in order to reduce CO2 by 25ppm by the year 2095... I can surmise that todays economy is going to look pretty good compared to that.
In case you wasn't aware of it, the last time the US had a 6.9% reduction in the GDP was during the Great Depression.
So don't look for the economy to improve much if the democrats have their way.
So yes, I would tell Bush "Good Job" because he did the job he was elected to do regardless of what public opinion said.
That is a lot more than can be said for that lying SOB Clinton, who did nothing but disgrace the Oval Office.
