why are some younger people so rude?

and why do they always have to try to be cool so hard? driving around in there new cars because they dont have any bills to pay. doing their drugs. living like 6 people in a 2 bedroom apartment. some people just make me mad.. sorry i had to vent.

Why is anyone so rude? If they have new cars and are living in apartments then I would assume they have bills to pay. I really don't know many that are like you described.

What i meant was why is anyone at all...not just the young so rude. I work in the public and I do see rudeness all around me but it certainly is not isolated to young people living in apartments with 6 other people and driving nice cars and not working or even close for that matter. Obviously I live in an area that is very different than yours and my world is real too.

a lot of old people are rude too. a lot of them will just walk to the front of a queue or, tut at people if they don't treat them like some kind of royalty, or not say thank you if you hold a door open for them. manners cost nothing. to any generation.

As a senior citizen myself I have to admit that a lot of older people are rude too as if their age or what not entitles them to mistreat other people. Then there are ones like myself who do not act like that and when we are in a line others younger will push in front of us as though because I have gray hair I do not count or else I am invisible. as you say good manners are free for any generation. Also I have known and do know a lot of really decent young people with excellent manners and compassion for others.

It's okay, we all need to vent sometimes and you are right, these young people are of a different breed because they are terribly rude now. I work in the school system here where I live and I tell you, they make me want to stoop down to their level but being that I am older, I can't but I chew them out real good when I have to. It makes you sad because when I was growing up, I wouldn't dare act the way these brats act. It's really just a sign of the times really.
