I too only read my books once usually, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to keep them all. Not that I do anymore, or at least haven't been. I don't have room for them. :( So instead I give them to people & I exchange them to a book trading place to get new books.

I'm the same way. I rarely read a book twice. I have a sister that is an avid reader, and I often give her my books, otherwise I donate them or give them away to whoever wants them.

Sometimes I will let someone borrow a book and it just doesnt make it back which I really dont care about because I'm not too much into rereading books. but i dont purposely give them away no.

I think giving them away is the best idea donate them to hospitals or nursing homes or such places is even better

it depends. if i really like the book then i'll keep it. if i dont think the book is nice then i'll give it away to someone else or just donate them to charity. most of the time i'll keep the books that i buy though.

I usually only buy books that I know I'll read/look at multiple times. If I only want to read a book once I'll just look for it at the library. :]

I keep my books because I read them several times especially if it's something I like. I've give some away because I just didn't want them.

Well a good book will usually go around the whole friend circle. When we're all done with them we usually donate them. Alot of them we end up donating to the local high school library. They are usually more than happy to take them.

Usually i read the books once and then keep them on the shelves in case I want to read them one day. Some of them admired by my friends will be lend to them, of course they will return to me when they finish reading . Collecting my favorite books is one of my hobbies.

I keep most of the books I've bought. Sometimes I sell them on ebay. Most times, I give it to my friends. I think I already have a mini library.

That's very nice and all, but I think any quality books, or books that you really enjoy can benefit from a second reading, or even a third or fourth. I lend books a lot, but I rarely give away my favorites, because sometimes I have an urge, a yen to read those books again. And usually with each reading I gain something new. But I do like to share my books with friends and people I know and later talk to them about their impressions.

I think that giving away books that you have read and will not read again is a good thing to do. I give mine to charities which sell used books to raise money for good causes. I buy most of my books from them too.
