Going to Disneyland!

I am so excited! On April 23rd my husband and I are going to Disneyland together for the first time ever. I have been ever since I was about 2, but my husband has never, ever been! I think that's just wrong, lol! But honestly, I've heard loads of mixed feelings about Disneyland. People seem to either love it and can't wait to go again, or they really don't care for it. Having gone since I was just a wee lass meself, the place holds all kinds of memories and magic for me that I can't wait to share with the love of my life! I would love to take the kids, but they're still a little young to enjoy it, and since my husband and I never get out or have "dates" anymore, we're going just the two of us. It should be a blast! It's kind of a post-anniversary celebration, since we did not really celebrate our 4th Anniversary back in November.
So how do you feel about Disneyland and why? Do you like it? Hate it? What are your fondest memories? I love this place, so feel free to go nuts and act like a total geek, cuz I know I do every time I go!

:( I never was to Disneyland. This is one of my dreams in my life, to go to Disneyland. I will continue to dream because i believe that the dreams can became true. I wait to my baby to
grow a few years and maby we will go there. I wait impatiently! Have a good fun there and you have to tell us how it was.

I'm sure your dream to go will come true. My husband has never been but always dreamed of it too. Now his dream of going is becoming a reality, so I have high hopes for you! I'm really looking forward to it and will let you know how it goes. Maybe I'll even post some pictures! Thanks for replying!

I love Disneyland. You can't help but feel like a big kid the whole time you are there. It's actually better to go without the kids. We have done both and had a better time just with the 2 of us....how awful is that?....LOL. Hope you have a blast

I hope so too. I'm sure we will, and thanks for, uh, lessening some of my guilt. I think it will be awesome for us to just take a break and have some fun together, act like a couple of kids. I forewarned my husband that I do act like a big kid the whole time, but he seemed pretty okay with that. I hope I can get him to really enjoy himself. Obviously the poor neglected man doesn't know what to expect... :)

From one geek to another have a great time! It's a small world after all. Geez now I will be humming that for the next 2 days!!LOL Have a spin on that ride for me! It's a great time. And now you will make memories of it with your hubby. Nothing better than that.

You know, and just to be extra-technical-geeky here, I checked the events calendar on disney's website and that ride is going to be "closed for refurbishment" when we go. So..oh well. I told my husband that and he was like "What's 'it's a small world?'" Well duh. I just looked at him funny because I thought he would have at least heard of it, you know? Geez, I love that doofus so much! I'll check Space Mountain out for you though, it's been closed for years and was closed last time I went, so I'm really excited to see what they did with it.
Thanks for you extra enthusiasm. Now i'm even more excited. *sigh* and only a month left to wait. Oh boy...

We went in 2004. It was my first time. I loved it. My kids loved it. To see the looks on their faces is absolutely priceless. Now we are going to have to go back in a couple of years, when the youngest gets old enough to remember. Even though I did love Disney, I really loved Universal Studios much more. My husband preferred it over Disney. To me its all fun. Congrats, take lots of pics, and let us know how it goes.
