Happy Easter...

Same to you my friend. I hope that whatever your customs and or celebrations include that you will have a great time. We live here on 5 acres and we've hosted an Egg hunt every year for family and a couple of friends, well.... it grew and grew and grew and we find that this year we are having 70 people !!! yikes. It will be a great day here in Southern California, they are calling for 80 degrees and sunny. Everyone is bringing a favaorite dish and there will be Ham, Fried Chicken, Tri-Tip, hot dogs for the kids, potatoe salad, pastachio salad, cole slaw, green bean cassarole, two kinds of baked beans, lots of great desserts including Chocolate dipped strawberries, rolls, fruit salad, chips and salsa, and.... the list goes on and on.... We are hiding almost 250 eggs so that should take the kids about 15 mins. at least huh? LOL. It was a lot of work but it sure brings us joy to watch all the folks have such a nice day with the kids away from TV and video games. We do egg toss, and horse shoes, hula hoop contests and then at sunset a Hay ride. Once it gets to be almost dusk we like the fire ring and they can roast marshmellows and make Smore's. Hopefully no big tummy aches and everyone goes home full and warmed by the sun. So this is how we will celebrate.... wish you were here too :) J

Well thankyou howard and you have a happy Easter too. I just wish the weather was warmer.LOL Oh well at least it will entertaining watching the kids run around with their sugar rush!lOL

Have a safe happy holiday. I will be enjoying some ham and watching children hunt for Easter Eggs. Their grandfather put money in 1/2 of the eggs, so they were quite happy last year. I think its better than lots of junk food in the eggs.
