It is really embarrassing if you forgot a friend's name. I never forget names and I'll share you a few of my secrets. When a friend is introduced to you, always repeat the name, making sure you got it correct and have pronounced it correctly. You can also ask for for a calling card of the person or if he doesn't have one, write it down yourself. Try also to associate the person and the nameof the person to something so that it will be easier for you to recall. I know what you mean, I am terrible at names, i was saying to my class mate the other day what is your name, he went six months and you dont know my name. when people starts a conversation with me and i dont remember their name i was carry on with the conversation and try to avoid using their name. I know my reponse isnt good but that is what i do

It`s simple ! Say "hello" to him too . If you can not remerber his name , the main reason for this case is that he did not impress you very much . So don`t mind !
