I have read all the books and watched all the released movies. you should read the books. i am sure you will love them.
and after you have read them, you will start hating the movies because they have not been able to capture the full magic of the books.
all the actors are of course brilliant. but the film makers cut out many things from the movies due to money and time reasons. they have cut out so many interesting characters and incidents. if you want to know and truely enjoy the world of harry potter, you will have to read the books.

Yes, I've read all of them, but I also recommend (like the others) that you should watch the movie first, before reading the book. I read the book first before I watch any movie, so then I always feel a little disappointed, because many scenes I've been hoping to see weren't there at all.
I love the movies, and even more so the books!

It is definitely worth reading the books. I have read all of them, but I would suggest watching the movie first. There is so much more in the books that don't make it to the big screen. If you read the book first then watch the movie, you will be a little disappointed because so much is left out. If you watch the movie first then read the book, you will understand it better and have a lot more explained.

I love the Harry Potter movies! I have the books but haven't read them because I know from experience that the movie and book aren't usually on the same level. My fave harry potter movie is the Goblet of Fire!

I have seen each book about Harry Potter .
first I wanna say that I was born in July 31 .
I was proud of this .
Because Harry Potter was born in the same day .
Also I have seen all the movie .
I like the first movie best .
IN my opinion ,I like a "small" Harry potter better !

You should definitely read the books if you haven't already. They are so much better than the movies. Especially the last couple movies, they really left a lot out and changed some events from the book.
I've read all the series....some more than once and so has my daughter. We were both disappointed with the last movie "The Order of the Phoenix" and my hubby had trouble just following it the first time he watched it.
If you don't have time to read the book, you may have time to listen to it on audio. That's what a friend of mine did and still got the full affect of the book.
In my opinion you haven't truely tapped into the magical world of Harry Potter unless you've read the books.
